Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to PORSHA Henderson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
PORSHA, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
My confidence wasn’t something I was born with. I had to build it through experience and faith. When I first started bartending I just wanted to make some extra money and have fun. Over time, I realized that every event, class, and client was teaching me how to stand in my power.
I developed my confidence by doing things before I felt ready. I stopped waiting for permission and trusted that my authencity would be enough.
I also had to change how I talked to myself. Saying “what if this works for me?” I surrounded myself with people that reminded me who I am. I’m also very big on journaling, affirmations, and subliminals.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I’m a Bartending Coach and Luxury Spirits Event Curator. I teach bartenders how to build their personal brands and turn their skills into opportunities. Not just behind the bar but beyond it. Through my Bartender To Brand workshops and community, I help develop confidence, content, and strategy to grow impact and income.
On the event side, I curate elevated cocktail experiences that bring brands, culture, and creativity together. Whether it’s a private tasting, brand activation, or one of my signature Potions By P events, I’m all about creating an experiences that feel intentional. I’m expanding my Bartender To Brand platform and building a Patreon community for bartenders ready to grow.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Confidence was for learning to trust my voice and ideas even when nobody was clapping yet. Creativity kept me evolving in bartending, content, and building experiences. Consistency is what tied it all together. I continued to show up when it wasn’t perfect and when I was figuring it out. That’s what built momentum.
For anyone early in the journey, start by giving yourself permission to start messy. Don’t wait until you feel ready. The growth comes from doing.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I’m always open to collaborating with brands, creatives, and event curators who align with creating intentional experiences. That can be luxury spirits brands, lifestyle companies, or any other entreprenuners who want to create meaningful activations.
