Meet Presley Aronson

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Presley Aronson. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Presley, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

I think it’s really important for all of us to have a purpose in life. When I was younger in school I was physically, mentally, and emotionally bullied. During that difficult time not only did my academics, but also my childhood suffered. I knew it was important to search for an outlet, a purpose in life, something not only to escape from the troubled times, but to focus on, to have passion, dedication, and drive towards. I fell in love with storytelling and everything about it. To be able to share my stories and broadcast good and positive messages. From acting to directing, producing, songwriting, and singing I knew I had found my purpose.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

Professionally, lately I’ve been focusing on both my music career and my film production company.

With my music, I’ve been writing, recording, and playing shows, while getting close to releasing my debut album which I’m so excited about as it’s been a long time coming and these songs are so important to me. I recently won two Telly awards for the music video to my single “Isabella” and the music video for my anti-bullying single “Background” along with two nominations at this year’s HIMA’s in two categories: Original Song for my song “Best Road” and Country Crossover for “Love For The Win” (Feat. Jimmie Allen). I also had the honor of presenting an award this year at the Young Artist Academy (Youth Oscars) hosted by Neal McDonough. It was my privilege to be invited to help recognize our youth in the industry. In addition to new music coming soon, I’m also gearing up for some tour dates later this year!

With my production company PAE Studios, we handle start-to-finish production from development to post-production on projects such as films, shows, commercials, music videos, concerts, documentaries, and more. We have been working on a number of different exciting projects! We have been given the honor of producing an incredible production, based on the true story of a suicide attempt survivor. We have produced a short documentary version of the story which has received some recognition prior to its release. Winning both a Telly award for documentary short and the Deb Bauer Unsung Hero Award at the Catalina Film Festival. With this amazing response and the need for this story to help others, we are currently in pre-production for the feature version of this remarkable story. Along with that, one of my favorite things to do is mix my two worlds music and film together by creating music videos! I’m so grateful and blessed to have such an incredible team to make all of this possible. We have some really special music videos in the works for upcoming songs off my soon to be released debut album!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Persistence, passion, and integrity are all important factors to success. I truly believe we never fail but give up, it’s okay to make a mistake but it’s how we move forward from there, learning from our own mistakes and from other’s mistakes will get you ahead of the curve. I think it’s also really crucial to have dedication and drive for whatever you set your heart to. Never allow anyone’s disbelief in you to affect your journey. When the only person who can decide your success is yourself; If you don’t put the effort in, you’ll never get there. You miss one hundred percent of the chances you don’t take. Take risks, don’t get comfortable because that’s when we stop reaching for success.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?

With a lot always happening on a constant basis it is really important to me to take a step back and be grateful for everything I’ve been blessed with, from my family to friends and everyone who has and does support me, along with the simple things that we shouldn’t take for granted like a roof over our heads, a warm bed to sleep in, food on our tables. When life becomes stressful and overwhelming we have to become grounded. Something that has helped me through a lot of stressful times is the thought process of not stressing because it won’t change the outcome, and if anything will make it worse or delay the solution. Suppose I’m too busy stressing, how am I supposed to apply my attention towards finding a solution to the problem. There is always a solution to every problem, we just have to figure out what that is. I like to live every single day like I’m in paradise whether it’s the best or worst day of my life. Paradise is not just a place but it’s a thought, it’s a feeling, it’s what gets me through every day. Focus on the positives in life because if you look for the negatives you’ll find them, and if you look for the positives you’ll find those as well, we are the ones who choose how we go about every day of our lives. We could allow non important little problems to ruin our days or we could let it go and continue to have a great day! I wanted to share my story and thought process so my song Live Like Paradise was born to help spread the message.
