We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Presley King a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Presley, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
My purpose is to help people. I create conscious clothing that is not only organic but all natural materials are used. I have recently realized the importance of living a sustainable lifestyle, I feel now I am following my higher path and my purpose. I found that I really enjoyed how I felt only using natural materials in my sewing process and that customers would feel the same.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
Hello my name is Presley King, I create conscious and sustainable clothing. All the materials I use are 100% organic fibers, I create clothing that could be worn on the daily. All my pieces are unique and one of a kind, both men and women could wear.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
On my journey I feel like one of the skills that was impactful to me was learning to sew. I have created so many wonderful pieces through the years. So I would say finding something your passionate about and running with it, don’t let anyone steer you off your path. Another would be staying true to yourself, not letting the “trends” or outside world get to you. Create your life, make something amazing, get inspired and stay motivated until you achieve your manifestations. And lastly I would say stay connected to nature and our earth, it has everything we need. Go outside and get inspired, live authenticity. Everyone is amazing and unique in their own way.
What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
This past year has been all about growth for me, I have found what really matters to me. My brand now I feel is truly and authentically me and what I care about. Living consciously and sustainably is so important to me and I hope I can help people with my clothing and therefore not only help the earth but themselves.
