Meet Prince-armanii De’vaughn

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Prince-armanii De’vaughn. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Prince-Armanii , we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

When I was a young Prince, I loved being the families entertainment at the family events. Whether my birthday, Christmas, Thanksgiving, everyone knew Prince was putting on a show and that’s where it all began. I had interest in being a magician; mastering different card tricks and illusions. Being a dancer and performing in the Annual Chicago Bud Billiken back to school parade, training with professional dancers, Being a sucker for the arts; Theatre, dance, music aided my rise in confidence and self esteem. Also, being taught by my family to always be kind to yourself and others, celebrate my achievements even if no one else will with me, learning from my mistakes, and learning first hand that if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself! Most of all, you have to believe in yourself. It’s possible!

I would also say standing 10 toes down in what I believe in. I point out my likes and dislikes and if you don’t like it, we can agree to disagree and move forward as adults.

One thing for sure, I love to prove people wrong.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I always dreamed of being a family attorney. Welp, I don’t know now. I have fell in love with the entertainment industry and I can see a future. When I started my rise in social media, it was about 4 years ago. I started posting a TikTok a day to grow my following, build engagements and to stay active while I was traveling as a Hotel Task Force agent. I then moved over to IG where I created the Official Bad Boys Club fan page, following both Zeus Network: BAD BOYS LA & TX . Doing this, I wanted to create a platform for all those interested in auditioning for the show to come together, network, build their following, gain exposure, and have fun. I did live show reviews, cast interviews, topics of discussions with the followers and more. Looking forward to following Season 3 which I heard is coming soon.

In 2023, I was nominated for both Boss Babe Awards: Influencer and Content Creator of the year. I worked hard to be recognized, even though I didn’t win that year. But 2024……. heyyyyyy now! Say hello to your ATL Boss Babe Awards 2024 Influencer Of The Year. This has shown me that the people are watching and I have to keep moving towards greatness and doing what I love.

In the process, I have lost friends I thought would be there to the end. Friends who I lended a hand to, open my home to! I remember the day I prayed for all of the fake people around me to present themselves or fall off with no confrontation and It was the Lords work happening right in front of my eyes. Now, I look around like, “Where are they now?” However, no regrets!

These same people claiming I’m not a good friend; Not to sound arrogant but, I can honestly say of all the friends I’ve had that I no longer associate with, always seem to be less fortunate than me. And that’s OK! Because if I got it, then you got it and that’s how I’ve always treated my friends. These situations have molded me for the future. I’m no longer going to be someone superhero, I have to be my own. It has shown me how much trust you can put on someone and how quick a person can switch up on you; Last but not least, I’ve experienced having to disassociate myself with someone due to them not acting in a way that was accepting to my values and morals. Just like the Great Whitney said, “I will never change, my colors for you”!

With That Being Said, I’ve been working as a Social Media Assistant for Artist, Creator, Youtuber Oliver Twix & The Betwixt Collective; seen on Netflix The Circle, Chasing Reality, WeTV just to name a few. I’ve had the pleasure to be so lucky to work with him and learn a lot in areas such as videography, editing anything from creating music videos, reels, to full tv shows, how to run a business, professionalism, scenic and lighting you name it.

I was also able to start an Adult Story-time Podcast, “With That Being Said”, co-hosting is Chicago’s hairstylist and nail tech Lola Reigns. There, we discuss real life adult situations. We can all agree or agree to disagree with the topic of discussion, but we always still have fun. Stories can be told anonymously by uploading your story and we will read it and discuss or you can join the chat on StationHead App and tell your story live.

All of these things played a vital role in the creation of my debut album coming very soon. Currently the people are getting 16 tracks from me. All of these song I started writing winter 2023. I decided to do this for me, for fun, and to express myself musically and not just for monetary gain. I want my fans to listen to it with an open mind thinking of ways to relate my feelings to something going on in their life. I would say my style would be Hip-Hop & R&B. This upcoming project is basically telling an express story of my life musically. As for sneak peeks, I will say there are 3 remakes on this album: 1. Nicki Minaj – Barbie Dreams (Biggie – Dreams) 2. Rod Wave – Fight The Feeling 3. JT – No Bars. One song that some have heard on my social media platforms is the snippit of “20 Degreez” in which I use the audio for a reel. I hope everyone can find a song to relate too once it’s released.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

MINDING MY OWN BUISNESS, ALWAYS ESTABLISHING A GOAL, AND STAYING HUMBLE!

As for advise, the only thing I will say is you can do whatever you put your mind too and remember to put yourself first.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?

I WROTE MY FIRST 16 TRACK ALBUM, MAY ADD MORE.

My inspiration came from the good and bad life experiences, obstacles faced, and friendships and relationships the good, the bad, and the I don’t give a F****. LOL
