Meet Priscila Fadul

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Priscila Fadul a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Priscila, so happy to have you on the platform and I think our readers are in for a treat because you’ve got such an interesting story and so much insight and wisdom. So, let’s start with a topic that is relevant to everyone, regardless of industry etc. What do you do for self-care and how has it impacted you?
I love the quiet time once my kids are asleep. I take a moment to do my skincare routine with cleanser, serum, and moisturizer, ensuring my skin stays healthy through the night. Then, I unwind in a warm bath, reading my favorite book or catching up on industry news on my phone. It’s a wonderful way to wrap up my day.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I’m priscila, the founder of lendava. A little bit of my background, I am a latin engineer, I was born in Argentina and I am currently based in Miami. I’m also a mom of twin boys and a new born baby girl.

I grew up in the beauty industry. my family has more than 50 years of experience in the space including retailers and exclusive distribution rights to global prestige and luxury beauty brands in Latin America.

I’ve been attending brand trainings, tradeshows, trying new products and traveling to labs in Europe.
I found myself frustrated by the conflicting information out there: the excess number of steps that brands encourage customers to use, the endless trendy ingredients,  this culture of nonstop novelty we live in. As an engineer, I was trained to look for efficiency in every aspect of a business so I wanted to bring that philosophy to skincare. I just knew a 10-step routine would never work for me in my personal life and I became deeply interested in chemistry, so I kept chatting with all the skincare formulation experts to figure out what really added value to our skin’s health.

After years of working to differentiate fact from fiction when it comes to skincare, what I learned is that healthy skin doesn’t need to be complicated. Research has already identified which ingredients have beneficial results on the skin, and likewise, which ones can make matters worse, and this is true regardless skin type, gender and age.

So i wanted to create something that was more streamlined, savvy and pleasurable to use. A brand that would have all the necessary proven ingredients to care for my skin without the excessive steps. And also a brand that would fit my modern minimalist design aesthetics.

And that’s how Lendava was born. The brand is focused on making streamlined, effective and responsible products with evidence-based actives, biotech ingredients and refillable packaging. I like to say lendava makes skincare in ideal proportions.

We offer just a small collection of expertly-formulated face and body care products engineered for every skin type, even for the most sensitive.

It all started with our hero products, Good Morning and Good Night Face creams, which were intended to replace the excess of steps in a traditional skincare routine.  For each of this products we chose only the highest quality, most researched ingredients, put together in ideal proportions. So for example, Good Morning contains Stay C 50 which is a new and more stable form of Vitamin C and Good Night contains Matrixyl 3000, one of the most researched, highly effective trademarked peptide compositions.

We also use biotech ingredients which are better and safer for the skin, and more sustainable for the environment and the packaging is refillable packaging, to reduce waste. So I like to say we create products with the right priorities in mind.

The collection also offers a gentle soap free oil cleanser One with 1% of retinol, ideal for body firming and one more called MOM, intended to deeply hydrate and prevent stretch marks during pregnancy and postpartum.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Thinking about my journey, three big things really made a difference. First, my family’s experience in the beauty industry gave me a solid understanding of how things work. Learning from them has been very helpful. Second, getting a degree in advanced cosmetic science taught me how to make skincare products that work well. It boosted my confidence in creating amazingly, effective formulas. Lastly, my engineering degree brought a practical and efficient mindset to deal with all the confusing information in the beauty world. For those just starting out, my advice would be to pick a good team, work hard, connect with people, and learn from mistakes!

Tell us what your ideal client would be like?
Lendava’s ideal clients are sophisticated men and women, who prioritize environmental considerations and seek skincare routines that are both effective and of high quality. Rather than being heavily invested in the “ritual experience,” they are more focused on achieving optimal skin health using a select few elevated products.
