Meet Prithvi Prajosh

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Prithvi Prajosh. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Prithvi below.

Hi Prithvi, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.
A lot of my optimism comes from my dad. He has always believed in giving your best without worrying too much about the outcome, and that perspective has stayed with me as I have grown older. For me, if you put your heart into something, you have already done enough. The result becomes secondary because you know you gave it everything you had. It may sound a little idealistic, but I genuinely live by that belief.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am a singer-songwriter who has been based in Los Angeles for the past four years. During that time, I have released dozens of songs and written for rising artists like Thomas Ng and Priya Mani. I am especially excited about Thomas Ng’s debut album Blonde & Blue. I co-wrote the opening track “Cellophane” and contributed across the record.

I have also had the chance to perform at iconic LA venues such as the Viper Room and Hotel Café, which have been unforgettable milestones. Recently, my journey came full circle when I became a Voting Member of the Recording Academy, which was a proud moment for me.

Beyond writing and performing, I curate playlists through Daily Dosa Music, managing several lists that collectively reach more than a hundred thousand followers. I also teach singing and songwriting to a select group of students, something I find incredibly rewarding. Looking ahead, I am preparing to release my next set of songs starting in March.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1) Ask for help. There’s no shame in it. If anything, it opens doors you might never expect. You don’t have to do everything on your own, and sometimes the act of asking is what creates opportunities.

2) Set boundaries and say no. In this industry, it can feel like you have to say yes to every opportunity, but trusting your gut and protecting your space is just as important. Saying no when something doesn’t feel right is a strength.

3) Be willing to help others. Offering support or guidance when you can is just as valuable as asking for it. That mutual exchange is what makes this community stronger.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
When I feel overwhelmed, I step away and give myself permission to do nothing, even for just ten minutes. That pause can reset my mind and bring clarity. I also love taking myself out to the movies. It is one of my favorite ways to decompress and recharge. My advice is to find something you love, no matter how small, that helps you reset. Even a short break can make everything feel lighter and more manageable.
