Hi Qiting, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?

I believe our strong work ethic comes from the clients we work with, many of whom are successful entrepreneurs. Their dedication, perseverance, and high standards always inspire us to push further and strive for excellence in everything we do. Seeing their passion for their businesses motivates us to work just as hard, if not harder, to deliver results that meet and exceed their expectations. We aim to be as committed to their success as they are, which drives us to continuously improve and never settle for less than the best.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Mofa Design is an interior design firm co-founded by myself and my partner, TC Nguyen. With over 13 years of experience, we offer comprehensive design services, from initial measurements and design through procurement and installation. Our focus is on providing a seamless, stress-free experience, making it easy for our clients to move into their dream homes.
One of the most attractive aspects of our company is our close collaboration with partnered factories. This allows us to offer custom, high-quality pieces at competitive prices. By controlling both design and production, we can cater to different budgets while maintaining exceptional quality and providing tailored solutions.
At Mofa, we believe that every home should reflect its owner. Our goal is to create spaces that are not only visually stunning but also enhance comfort and functionality, transforming each house into a truly personalized dream home.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Looking back, the three qualities that have had the most impact on our journey are taking action, staying curious and humble, and creative problem-solving. First, we’ve learned that taking immediate action is crucial—don’t overthink, just take that first step. Acting quickly has been key to our progress, as waiting too long often leads to missed opportunities. This approach has helped us move forward, even when we didn’t have all the answers.
Second, curiosity and humility have been essential to our growth. By embracing feedback and remaining open to learning, we’ve continuously improved and adapted. Lastly, creative problem-solving has been vital in navigating challenges. Approaching problems with fresh perspectives and innovative ideas has allowed us to find effective solutions and keep moving forward.
For anyone just starting their journey, our biggest advice is simple: take action. Don’t wait for everything to be perfect—just take that first step, and the rest will follow.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

The person who has been most instrumental in helping me overcome challenges and grow is my business partner, TC Nguyen. We complement each other perfectly, with different strengths and perspectives that allow us to see the full picture. While I may focus on certain details, TC often catches others, ensuring nothing is overlooked. This balance has been key to our success, pushing us to constantly improve and think creatively. Our different approaches not only strengthen our business but also make us better at navigating challenges together, always driving each other toward growth.
