Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Quana Bullock. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Quana, so excited to talk about all sorts of important topics with you today. The first one we want to jump into is about being the only one in the room – for some that’s being the only person of color or the only non-native English speaker or the only non-MBA, etc Can you talk to us about how you have managed to be successful even when you were the only one in the room that looked like you?
I’ve learned you have to be okay with being the only one. When you are on a mission, on an assignment, living out your true purpose, you have to embrace being the only one sometimes. It’s just like the gospel song writer said “I’ll go if I have to go by myself.” I’m going in being free and being my true genuine self. When a door has opened for me, I embrace it cause the fact is when you have a relationship with God, you’re never truly alone. I go in with faith and the mindset of “Quana, you got the trilogy with you, that’s a team all by itself, and this team is gonna blow your mind when you step out on faith, now embrace the moment.” I have learned you have to speak over yourself and stay prayed up to be effective and successful. Eyes haven’t seen and ears haven’t heard of all the blessings that’s about to fall on me just by being obedient and walking in my purpose so I can never go in the room worried about being the only one in the room that looks like me. I can only go in embracing the moment, trusting, and believing that what God has tailor-made for me, it is for me.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Simply put my story, my brand, my business, is expressions of me. All things Quana Bullock, QB, The Queen of the Bullock’s hive. Each and everyday I seek to pour out sweetness just like honey amongst everybody, and because God is love that means I have to spread love in everything I do. I whole heartedly try to apply proverbs 31 to my life and with that brings on many roles. I don’t just identify as being a wife, mother, teacher, entrepreneur, etc. but I’m a little bit of this and a little bit of that holding on to a whole lot of Jesus that I trust in guiding my life to help me walk in my purpose. A purpose that I want to fulfill and spread the benefits from all over the world so I constantly pray for God to let his light shine through me that it may shine before people, that they may see my good works all while God gets the glory. With everything I stand for and with everything I handcraft, I do it with love, with intents to make someone smile, lift somebody’s spirit, or to simply express gratitude and appreciation. From my candles, to my body butters, to my wreaths, etc. my home and beauty products is all about an expression of love for self and others because I believe in spreading love in every way possible so therefore I delegate the tasks that need to be carried out to engage in business professionally, physically, as well as spiritually for kingdom business and the exciting part about it is that God is not through with me yet which means there’s much more to come so stay tuned.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The three qualities that I believe have been most impactful in my journey is faith, determination, and grace. I had to free myself to truly come to an understanding that faith without works is dead. I had to form a relationship with God to learn that true faith in Him always produces good works if I stay obedient to what his will, way, and purpose is for my life to reap exactly what he has in store for me, which brings me to the determination of not giving up despite what it looks like or how hard it may seem. It’s all about trusting God and trusting the process along the way. Remembering your initial reason, purpose, and knowing that God’s grace is sufficient. You can’t be so quick to want to throw in the towel when things don’t go the way you anticipated. Instead you have to give yourself grace, and know that it’s okay if you don’t get it right the first time. Trial and error perfects the gift so you have to be determined to get it right no matter what and keep the faith that the good works serve to make our faith tangible and meaningful, benefiting both ourselves and those around us.

The Holy Bible has played an important role in my development because it is simply giving me the basic instructions before leaving earth. Literally showing and telling me how to live to reap all Gods promises and blessings for my life. It has truly changed my views about things and has shifted my mindset to be more eager about walking in my purpose to reach my destiny. The most valuable and impactful factor of it all is God is love and with his love and compassion I have the assurance that in every aspect of my life business wise and personally, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. He got my back!
