We were lucky to catch up with QuaTita Dean recently and have shared our conversation below.
QuaTita, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
My resilience stems from my deep faith in the soul and spirit. It arises from my understanding of my journey and my divine connection to both the soul and my ancestors. This connection fuels my motivation, allowing me to embrace each day and cherish every session I enter. My work is not just a job; it’s my passion and my life, bringing me immense happiness. Growing up in the Comanche projects of Tulsa, Oklahoma, I witnessed my mother endure abuse while working two jobs until her passing when I was just ten. Despite her struggles, she approached her work with dedication, caring for the elderly residents she loved. Her incredible work ethic, combined with my love for the soul and spirit, reinforces my belief in what is true, giving me the resilience and courage to pursue the work I cherish every day.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
In my profession I am referred to as an ancestral interpreter, which is akin to what many might call a psychic medium. I facilitate connections between individuals and their departed loved ones, offering messages and insights from the realm of the soul. My role is to provide clarity, relaying messages as they come to me from our spiritual ancestors. I travel globally to conduct events, making a meaningful impact on lives and, recently, even transforming them.
In addition to my work, I am an author with a series of children’s books inspired by my teachings, as I also serve as a life and spiritual educator. I’ve co-authored a cookbook with Chef Juju and penned my first book, titled *The Essential Handbook for the Melanite.* Furthermore, I have developed three lines of tarot, oracle, and Kipper decks, with my latest creation being a tarot deck themed around Sean “Diddy” Combs, which is a limited edition novelty item. A Kipper deck is also set to be released in about three to four weeks.
I recently completed an event at a convention expo and am eagerly anticipating my next one in February, where I’ll showcase my products and conduct readings for attendees. I truly enjoy what I do; my team and I travel, have fun, and engage in meaningful spiritual work that changes lives along the way.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
As I reflect on my path, I recognize that three crucial skills to develop are self-awareness, meaningful communication rooted in ethics, and fostering an open heart and mind. Although it appears to be four distinct elements, they are deeply interconnected. For those embarking on their own journeys, my advice is to respect yourself and your beliefs while pursuing what you are passionate about. It’s essential to cultivate a strong sense of self and a genuine enthusiasm for your goals—something that motivates you to wake up excited each day. This commitment will generate the income necessary for you to thrive in your endeavors. We all have aspirations, so keep in mind that showing kindness, spreading love, and offering grace can significantly enhance your journey and help you go far.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
For me, my team has been instrumental in elevating my journey at every stage of my endeavors. They are my foundation, my source of strength, and my trusted advisors. They’ve supported me during financially challenging times by offering assistance, listening, and providing valuable guidance. Our primary challenge has been getting me in front of a larger audience and establishing connections that could advance my career. We remain optimistic that the relationships we are building now, along with those we aim to cultivate in the future, will help us overcome these obstacles and reach a broader audience as we gear up for 2026. We are confident that A Walk With The Ancestors will become a well-known name, allowing us to reach, teach, and touch more lives, fostering the positive changes our world needs.
