Meet Queen Eze

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Queen Eze. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Queen below.

Queen , thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?

Being resilient is honestly one of my greatest strengths because no matter how much I get knocked down or pushed back, I always know there are better times ahead. Growing up, I was really luck and privileged and I had anything I could have ever wanted. Once I moved to the United States as a teenager, my life did a complete 360 and I found myself starting over and having to work for everything I have and that has taught me so much resilience.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I work in Project Management within public health, but my first love is and always will be fashion. What’s most exciting about what I do is the flexibility to explore other avenues and other passions of mine. My brand Style of A Queen is simply just me traveling, showcasing my style and just living life to the fullest.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

The 3 qualities that were really helpful throughout my journey were being consistent, putting in the work to build my craft, and most importantly, having fun throughout the process. My advice to others in regard to starting whatever it is they want, is to just face the fear and start whatever it is. It may not be perfect, but you’ve put the key into the ignition and all you have to do is push the pedal and you will figure it out on the way. Practice makes perfect and it is very normal to fail along the way. The most important thing is to learn from your mistakes.

Before we go, any advice you can share with people who are feeling overwhelmed?

When I am feeling overwhelmed, I always like to take a break, take some deep breaths and just remove myself from whatever is weighing heavy on me and take a walk. I also love to watch comedies- it really helps release any tension or stress I may be going through. I also called friends who are a source of joy for me or who can talk me through a difficult situation. It is always important to take a break and not put so much pressure on oneself. Issues always figure themselves out in the end.
