Meet Queen Lyons

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Queen Lyons. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Queen below.

Queen, so great to have you with us and thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with the community. So, let’s jump into something that stops so many people from going after their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. We’d love to hear about how you dealt with that and persisted on your path.

Persisting in the face of doubt, criticism, and negativity requires a strong sense of purpose and intentional self-discipline. First, I remind myself that other people’s opinions do not define my value, my calling, or my future. Haters and naysayers are often a reflection of their own limitations not mine. Instead of internalizing their words, I use them as fuel to continue growing, improving, and staying focused on my goals.

I commit to surrounding myself with positive influences people who uplift, encourage, and challenge me to be better, not bitter. I stay anchored in my faith, knowing that my assignment comes from God, not from the approval of others. Through prayer, grounding myself in Scripture, and maintaining a mindset of gratitude and resilience, I rise above negativity and move forward with confidence.

Most importantly, I keep showing up. Consistency is my strategy. I choose discipline over emotion, vision over distraction, and purpose over people-pleasing. Every time I push past doubt whether it’s coming from others or whispering in my own mind. I strengthen my character and sharpen my destiny. I don’t react to negative voices; I let progress and excellence speak on my behalf.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I began my journey in the industry by signing with a modeling agency, which opened the door to professional bookings and helped me gain early momentum in my career. I was raised in Los Angeles, California, and later continued developing my skills in Cincinnati, Ohio, where I studied modeling and acting.

Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to walk runways and participate in various modeling projects, and I am now expanding into acting. I am currently preparing for my first film debut, which is scheduled toward the end of the yearan exciting milestone for me.

In addition to modeling and acting, I am also working on my first book, which I plan to release next year. My goal is to inspire others through my journey and demonstrate that with dedication and resilience, you can continue to evolve and reach new heights.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Three qualities that have significantly shaped my journey are perseverance, self-motivation, and belief in my vision.
First, perseverance has allowed me to push forward even when challenges or setbacks arise. I’ve learned that consistency and resilience are key to long-term success. Second, self-motivation has been essential I’m driven by an internal desire to grow, excel, and make the most of every opportunity. And finally, having unwavering belief in my dreams has kept me focused. I’ve always trusted that my goals are achievable, and that mindset has guided every step of my progress.

My advice is to develop a strong mindset and protect your vision. Don’t allow doubt whether from others or yourself to dictate your potential. People may try to place limitations on you, but your belief in yourself must be stronger than outside noise. Stay disciplined, stay confident, and keep reminding yourself that with dedication and faith, you can accomplish anything you set your mind to.

What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?

The biggest challenge I’m currently navigating is outgrowing certain relationships. As my career and personal growth have progressed, I’ve noticed that not everyone I once considered a friend has been able to grow with me. Some individuals were more interested in comparing themselves to me rather than supporting the journey and the work required to get where I am. While it was difficult to accept, I realized that not every person is meant to stay for every season of my life.

To overcome and manage this challenge, I stay grounded in my purpose and intentional about the company I keep. I focus on surrounding myself with people who inspire, support, and challenge me in a positive way. I also stay busy pursuing my goals and developing my craft, which keeps me aligned and forward-focused. Instead of being discouraged, I view this transition as a natural and necessary part of growth. Keeping a small, uplifting circle allows me to stay motivated and maintain my peace, ensuring I am always around those who celebrate me not just tolerate me.
