Meet Quentin Harris

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Quentin Harris a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Quentin , really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I was once lost when it came to what I wanted to do concerning my career so I took what I was passionate about and jumped out and took a leap of faith and landed in fulfilling my purpose

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
The question of “what you do” is such a loaded question because being an executive producer of television, you feel as though you actually do it all. I’ve been in the entertainment business industry for the past decade at this point, I use to manage and produce my own radio show, which led me into reality television and being in front on the camera led me to producing content of my own and formulating my own reality tv show.

What I feel and love about reality television is you catch the raw essence of dealing with real life situations and sometimes that helps people through situations because we get to see how others maneuver through conflict and other troubling situations in life. I also love reality television because you get to witness and understand that no matter what life throws at you, you can get through whatever.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Three skills that have been impactful throughout my career and have kept me sustainable and on a constant road to success would be my leadership skills, my determination and the skill to overcome any obstacle thrown my way and the ability to listen. All these skills have led me to be the best me, that I can be. My advice for anyone coming up in the entertainment industry in 2023 would be able to listen and be able to be “in the know”. Being early in your career and being a sponge and soaking up as much knowledge as possible is what will sustain you for later in your career

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
The most impactful thing my parents did for me during the earlier stages of my career was believe in me. My parents believed in me, an as a young dreamer who was trying to skip college and chase my dreams and even though that sounded absurd to some parents. My parents pushed and motivated me, even though they were scared for their baby to go off into the big world it was something about their approval that pushed me to want better for myself and to prove to them that their encouragement is not in vain. My parents pushing me to follow my dreams was probably one of the best gifts they’ve ever given me in my life.
