Meet Rachel Tabak

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Rachel Tabak. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Rachel below.

Rachel, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

My work ethic is rooted in gratitude for my family’s resilience. My father was born in Israel after his mother survived the Holocaust and later built a thriving business in the U.S. On my mother’s side, my grandfather arrived through Ellis Island with nothing and eventually purchased land in Trousdale in the 1960s — a reminder that hard work and perseverance can create lasting legacies. Their stories inspire me every day to approach my work with both purpose and gratitude.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I’m a Los Angeles–based realtor specializing in luxury and family-focused homes. My passion lies in helping families find the right fit — homes that align with their lifestyle, needs, and long-term goals. What excites me most is guiding clients through life’s meaningful transitions — whether it’s buying a first home, relocating during a new chapter, or selling a property filled with memories.

Beyond real estate, I serve on the boards of the Calabasas Chamber of Commerce, the West Valley Chamber, and the Foundation for LVUSD, where I advocate for local businesses, education, and community growth. My goal is to blend heart and expertise to make every real estate experience seamless, transparent, and truly personal.

Whether I’m helping a first-time buyer or managing a luxury listing, my greatest reward comes from earning my clients’ trust and comfort through every step of the process — and being the person they feel confident referring to friends and family.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Three qualities that have shaped my journey are resilience, integrity, and relationship-building. Living and working in Milan, Paris, Shanghai, Jerusalem, and London taught me how to connect with people from all walks of life — an invaluable skill in real estate. My advice for anyone starting out: embrace challenges, always keep your word, and invest in genuine relationships. Success built on trust and consistency lasts the longest.

To close, maybe we can chat about your parents and what they did that was particularly impactful for you?

The most impactful thing my parents did for me was broaden my perspective. They encouraged me to travel, explore new cultures and cuisines, and pursue an excellent education — all while reminding me to stay humble and true to my word. Their lessons in gratitude, curiosity, and integrity continue to guide how I live and how I serve my clients today.
