Meet Rachel Wisdom

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Rachel Wisdom. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Rachel , we’re so appreciative of you taking the time to share your nuggets of wisdom with our community. One of the topics we think is most important for folks looking to level up their lives is building up their self-confidence and self-esteem. Can you share how you developed your confidence?
I had to choose the topic about self-esteem & confidence because for so many years, I’ve struggled in that very area. I can confidently now say that I’ve come along way. But I only got here by taking time to fully embrace me, who I am, & what I bring to the table. For so long, I couldn’t step in a room & tell everyone who I am & what I offer without questioning myself on if it were true or not. I cannot & will not say this didn’t take time, nor can I give you a step by step tutorial on how to become confident, what I can tell you, is that it is a journey. But do NOT stop mid journey. This may sound cliche, but remain positive within & about who you are. Develop & maintain a positive mindset. All while keeping that positive mindset, here’s another cliche that I promise will work, practice self affirmations, tell yourself what you wish to hear from others. Loving yourself is most important. Learn yourself, who you are, what you love & dislike & dive into those very things. Dedicate time to feeling comfortable in your skin, whether that’s dancing to your favorite song for how ever long you would like or spending time in the mirror to focus on what makes you unique & beautiful. Last but not least, SELF CARE! When you take time to tend to yourself, to show yourself love, & give yourself the attention you need, you begin to love & cherish YOU. These are just a few things I’ve done & continue to do to make sure I love me & who I’m becoming. Again I say, this journey to confidence is not easy but it is so worth it.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a personal fashion stylist whose goal is to focus on my clients personal needs while building personal esteem & vision through fashion. The Wisdom Slay is my baby & I make it my mission to bring out the best in each & every client, male or female. I enjoy what I do because I get the chance to see transformations made right in front of me, all while comforting each client through the process. I’m working on increasing my clientele & also designing as well.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Passion, Trusting my Creativity, & Determination are three qualities that continue to be most impactful in my journey. I would tell those who are early in their journey to follow your heart. Sounds simple, but it’s very essential. Stay true to your vision, it’s easy to be swayed from the influence of social media, but as long as you stay true to your goal, you’ll find your audience that will support you.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I am currently looking to collaborate with other stylists, as well as models. I want to create a community of likewise creatives in the fashion field.
