Meet Racquel Domonique

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Racquel Domonique. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Racquel Domonique below.

Racquel Domonique, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

I have to say that I get my resilience from my mother. As a mother of nine, she ran multiple businesses, worked full-time, and still managed our home with disipline, love and structure. Watching her while growing up, taught me the meaning of strength and perseverance. She reminded me of the Proverbs 31 woman — clothed with strength and dignity, rising early to provide for her household, and handling every task with wisdom and grace. My mother showed me that true resilience isn’t just about enduring challenges but doing so with faith, integrity, and purpose. Her example built in me the confidence to face obstacles head-on and the commitment to work diligently in everything I do, while keeping faith at the center.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

My journey is centered around faith, family, and purpose. Alongside my business partner and husband, I lead a marriage and family ministry inspired by Ecclesiastes 4:12 — ‘A threefold cord is not easily broken.’ Through this work, we help couples strengthen their bond with each other and with The Creator, empowering them to build marriages that reflect unity, love, and spiritual alignment.

What makes this work truly special is witnessing transformation, seeing couples rediscover joy, forgiveness, and connection through biblical principles. It’s not just about marriage enrichment; it’s about restoring covenant and identity within families.

Alongside Cords of Love, our outreach arm 412 Ministry focuses on discipleship and practical faith, supporting marriages, widows, and orphans through mentorship, teaching, and service. We host events like The Marriage Funshop and Love at Sunrise, which blend fun, learning, and spiritual growth in unique ways.

Right now, we’re expanding our reach through online programs and a new book and companion workbook series that guide couples through 100 themes on communication, intimacy, and faith. Our mission is to make marriage ministry more accessible, relatable, and life-changing — one couple at a time.”

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

I would definitely say determination, purpose and faith. Those would be the first top three. Ofcourse there are so many more.

Determination kept me grounded during seasons of uncertainty. Whether balancing family, ministry, or personal growth, there were times when quitting might’ve seemed easier — but my determination reminded me that growth happens through perseverance, not comfort. I’ve learned that resilience is a spiritual discipline; it’s choosing to trust Yahweh even when you don’t see the outcome yet.

Purpose gave direction to my determination. Understanding why I do what I do — to help couples build marriages that reflect divine love and unity — became the compass that guided every decision. Purpose keeps you aligned when distractions come, and it keeps your vision clear when others can’t see what you see.

And faithn well that’s the foundation of it all. It’s the belief that The Creator equips you for what He calls you to do.

My advice to those just starting out:
Take time to discover your purpose, not just your passion. Passion can fade when things get hard, but purpose will anchor you. Strengthen your determination by setting goals that stretch you, and let your faith lead you through the process. Growth is not about perfection — it’s about progress, consistency, and trust in the One who called you.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?

Without question, my husband has been the most instrumental person in helping me grow and overcome challenges throughout my journey. We’ve been married for over 24 years, but our story began long before that. We have known each other since we were teenagers. Over nearly three decades, we’ve not only grown together, but we’ve grown up together.

He has this incredible ability to challenge me, sometimes in ways I don’t always welcome at first — but I’ve learned that every challenge was rooted in love and belief in who I could become. He sees the potential in me, encourages every idea and supports them as well. His perspective has stretched me to think bigger, to step out of my comfort zone, and to keep my faith strong even when the path isn’t clear.

Marriage, for us, has been both a ministry and a mirror — showing us who we are and who we’re becoming. The Most High has truly used our relationship to refine me, teach me patience, humility, and strength. Looking back, I realize that many of the qualities I value most in myself today like resilience, emotional maturity, and grace under pressure — were cultivated through our partnership.
