We were lucky to catch up with Rae’Shun Okafor recently and have shared our conversation below.
Rae’Shun, so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
by bringing my own curiosity, openness, and intention to
conversations. My creativity is based on my visions that I have for certain things. I like to think outside the box and try things others may be afraid to try.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
At the heart of what I do is a deep passion for creating experiences that connect people — whether that’s through art, storytelling, and photos.
What’s most exciting to me is the process of turning ideas into something tangible and meaningful. I love that my work allows me to inspire, challenge, and uplift others — and that it grows right along with me.
Right now, I’m especially thrilled about walking in New York, Los Angeles and Canada Fashion Week. It’s been a labor of love, and I can’t wait to share it with more people.
More than anything, I want folks to know that everything I do is rooted in authenticity, community, and curiosity. This brand isn’t just a business — it’s a space for expression, connection, and possibility.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
1. Body Awareness & Movement
Runway modeling is about how you move — posture, balance, rhythm, and the ability to embody the designer’s vision with precision and grace.
So for me,I took walking classes and filmed myself walking to perfect what I was doing.
2. Discipline & Resilience
The fashion world is highly competitive, often subjective, and not always kind. Models face rejection, long hours, and intense demands.
I made sure I came up with me a workout routine. I also watch what I eat and make sure I get enough sleep.
3. Professionalism & Presence
Talent gets you noticed, but professionalism gets you booked repeatedly. This includes how you work with photographers, stylists, casting agents, and designers.
When going on castings, make sure your as natural as can be.
Extra Tip:
Modeling is more than looking good — it’s about becoming a living canvas for someone else’s vision.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
When I feel overwhelmed, I go to a water fall or I go to a park and ground myself. I Inhale deeply through my nose for 4 seconds and Exhale for 6 secs. I also like to take walks at night or go to the gym. That also helps reduce my stress levels. I’m very big on self care it really helps me get back to myself when I’m feeling overwhelmed.
