Meet Raeven Bayron

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Raeven Bayron a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Raeven, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

My daughters! After having my oldest almost 2 years ago I wanted to really purse my photography career. Now after having my second daughter, I want to show them how fulfilling but challenging it is to have your own business. They are my favorite subjects and my biggest muses!

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

As a photographer I think I’m always focused on growth. I want not only my business to grow but also my knowledge of my craft! As a mother myself I know how fast kids grow and how quickly it happens so I love being able to provide lasting memories for families. Especially when I can get those strong minded toddlers to crack some smiles!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

I think it helps having kids and being a former daycare teacher. I completely understand toddlers and their big emotions. I’ve also always been able to talk to anyone which I feel comes in handy since I have to be able to relate and talk to essentially strangers everyday! I also think it’s soo important to just keep shooting! Only way to get better and be more comfortable is practice!

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?

I’d love to collaborate with my local creatives and other women of color!

If you’re looking for someone to document any of your life’s important moments whether that be a new baby, birthday, buying a house, anything! I’m your girl! @raevenalexisphotography
