We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Ragan Thomson a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Ragan , we’ve been so fortunate to work with so many incredible folks and one common thread we have seen is that those who have built amazing lives for themselves are also often the folks who are most generous. Where do you think your generosity comes from?
I was born feeling very alive, awake, and full of love. Over time, as I struggled with inner pain, eating disorders, and the weight of expectations, I fell asleep to that natural generosity and lived in a state of self-absorption—on the outside appearing happy and social, while on the inside I felt isolated, sad, and burdened. In my twenties, as healing began, a sense of service stirred within me. I realized life was not about performance, approval, or striving—it was about love, presence, and helping others. That awareness opened a deeper awakening in my late twenties and early thirties, when I began to live for service rather than self. Today, when I connect with the Divine, I feel an endless stream of love moving through me, and generosity flows naturally from that connection. Offering time, resources, and energy is one of the ways I honor that love and contribute to humanity’s healing.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a Spiritual Healer & Coach, Global Change Investor, Founder of the Thomson Global Impact Fund, and a Speaker & Guide for Soul Awakening and Humanity’s Return to Truth. At the heart of my work is guiding people back to their soul essence. Through retreats, workshops, and gatherings, I hold space where individuals can release old patterns, dissolve the illusion of separation, and remember who they truly are. What brings me joy is witnessing the moment when someone reconnects with their inner light—when the heaviness lifts and their true presence shines through.
What makes this work unique is that it is not only about personal healing; it is about awakening the remembrance that inner transformation is also world service. This vision carries into the philanthropic arm of my work through the Thomson Global Impact Fund, which advances projects in climate resilience, women’s empowerment, and humanitarian aid. My role as a Global Change Investor allows me to support conscious entrepreneurs and innovations that bring lasting solutions for humanity and the Earth.
Right now, I am especially inspired by the forthcoming launch of my Soul School—a sacred space being created to serve souls who are ready to awaken more fully to their divine essence. This living sanctuary of teachings, practices, and transmissions will weave ancient wisdom with modern integration, guiding each soul back into remembrance. I feel deeply honored to soon place this offering into the hands and hearts of the world.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
When I reflect, three qualities stand out as most impactful on my path: faith, accountability, and devotion.
Faith sustained me in times when the way forward was hidden, and I trusted that the Divine was guiding each step. For anyone beginning their journey, nurturing faith through daily practice—whether prayer, meditation, or quiet reflection—helps anchor the heart in something greater than the self.
Accountability arose as I learned to listen not to passing thoughts or external voices, but to the still, clear wisdom within. A simple practice is to pause and ask: “Is this choice aligned with love, or with fear?” This begins to fine-tune the inner compass.
Devotion—showing up with humility and love—has carried me the farthest. To cultivate devotion, treat your path like a sacred relationship; tend to it daily with care, and it will blossom in ways more beautiful than you can yet imagine.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
The most impactful gift my parents gave me was the mirror of their love in the form it was offered. At times, it felt conditional, and as a young girl, I longed for more consistency and emotional presence. In truth, their reflection showed me where I had not yet learned to love myself. That lesson was invaluable—it taught me to cultivate tenderness, acceptance, and unconditional love within. Their presence, in all its complexity, became the very catalyst that awakened me to my own divine essence.
