Meet Rahnda (Loussia) Myers

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Rahnda (Loussia) Myers. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Rahnda below.

Rahnda, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

Honestly, I didn’t wake up one day knowing my purpose . It came from going through a lot of things that didn’t feel right first. I had to experience burnout, disappointment, and even a few wrong turns to realize what truly gives me energy. Over time, I noticed that the moments I felt most alive were when I was helping people feel seen, valued, and capable of more. That became the thread that tied everything together for me . My purpose isn’t one specific job, it’s the feeling of helping others grow into their best selves.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

My work has always centered around one thing, helping people realize what they’re capable of. In my role as Operations and Leasing Manager for Sola Salon Studios, I have the privilege of empowering beauty professionals across every corner of the industry — hair, skin, nails, wellness, and beyond — to step into full independence and build something that’s truly theirs.

What inspires me most is seeing that moment when a professional realizes, “I can actually do this.” I’ve watched people walk in uncertain, doubting themselves, and then light up when they open the door to their very own studio for the first time. That transformation. From employee to entrepreneur, from self-doubt to self-belief, is what drives everything I do.

At Sola, our philosophy is simple but powerful: you’re on your own, but not alone. We provide the freedom of ownership with the support of community. So every independent beauty professional can focus on what they love while knowing they have a network behind them.

What makes my work so meaningful is that I’m not just filling studios; I’m helping people create new beginnings. I get to watch dreams turn into businesses, ideas turn into brands, and passion turn into purpose. There’s nothing more fulfilling than witnessing that kind of growth. Both personal and professional.

My focus now is to continue expanding that impact. To reach more creatives, more dreamers, and more professionals ready to take that leap. Because I truly believe that when people are given the right environment and encouragement, they don’t just build a business, they build a life they love.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Looking back, three qualities have had the biggest impact on my journey. First, resilience. Life and business aren’t always smooth, and I’ve faced challenges that tested my confidence and patience. Learning to stay focused and keep moving forward, even when things feel uncertain, has been huge. Second, empathy and connection. Being able to understand and genuinely care about others has shaped the way I build relationships, whether with colleagues, clients, or the beauty professionals I work with. It allows me to create environments where people feel supported and inspired. Finally, vision and focus. Knowing what you want to create and taking consistent steps toward it has been essential. For anyone early in their journey, investing in yourself, staying curious, and taking responsibility for your growth will carry you through challenges, open doors, and allow you to make a meaningful impact in whatever field you choose.

All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?

The number one obstacle I see in the beauty industry is helping professionals thrive while running their own business. At Sola Salon Studios, we set ourselves apart from traditional salons and other salon studio concepts by giving our professionals not just space, but the tools and support to truly succeed. This includes continuing education, personalized business websites, high-end fixtures and facilities, and access to a community of over 25,000 like-minded entrepreneurs. Solagenius provides streamlined business support, but above all, we focus on exceptional customer service, responding immediately to our Sola professionals’ needs because their livelihoods and their clients’ experiences depend on it. My role is to make sure they feel empowered, supported, and confident in building the business they have always dreamed of, while knowing they are never alone in the process.
