Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Rain Fozzard. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Rain, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?
Optimism has always been something set in my mindset but it took a lot of self work and patience to hold it at the level I desired. I strongly believe in karma, personal energy, and that everything happens for a reason so I just let negativity brush off. I’ve faced a lot of personal challenges and have battled depression for as long as I can remember, and withholding an optimistic mindset has helped me through so much more than I could imagine. When things happen or I’m delayed in anyway, I just constantly remind myself that things happen the way they’re supposed to- and that everyone is human and also facing their own struggles. Getting upset over things outside of my control won’t help or change anything, so let it happen and keep moving forward!

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I have been a nail tech for a year and a half now and it’s been nothing short of amazing- yet humbling. I chose this career because I wanted to find a creative outlet that pushed me past my limits. Im also a social butterfly and now I get to work talking to girls all day about their lives and achievements as well. I am looking to find ways to meet more likeminded women and expand my professional / social circle too!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
For this field you must possess great social skills, patience, and a strong work ethic. From someone who has built her own business and all of my clientele by myself- stay patient and keep pushing yourself and everything will fall into place. It’s not easy at first but it is all extremely rewarding and something to be proud of

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
Practice. Practice. Practice. When I first began doing nails I heard everyone saying this and kind of just brushed it off but they were not lying! Clients and friends want to see and support your growth! Even if you’re using a practice hand or painting one nail just to improve design, speed, or techniques – it ALL matters.
