Meet Raluca Maria Coroban

We recently connected with Raluca Maria Coroban and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Raluca Maria, you’ve got such an interesting story, but before we jump into that, let’s first talk about a topic near and dear to us – generosity. We think success, happiness and wellbeing depends on authentic generosity and empathy and so we’d love to hear about how you become such a generous person – where do you think your generosity comes from?
My design behind my personal development aims to create and give to the world products that are beneficial for everyone, not only for those who have certain dietary restrictions. The generosity could be a reflection of the efforts of my good customer, that believed in and supported me along my journey since the beginning.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I was born in Romania, and 7 years ago, I moved to the US with my husband. I found so much inspiration in San Diego, and 5 years later, living in this country, Rayluca Chocolate was born, and now I am proud to call San Diego home. Having a purpose well-defined to create a healthier and happier world, together with my husband’s help, we create delicious indulgences and have them shipped across the US.

In my free time, I find peace and inspiration on the beach, gym, and in the kitchen cooking healthy meals.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Good question. After two years in business, I see the business side a lot clearer, and I would say that I was impatient with the results. I was trying to do so much work, and I learned that it isn`t sustainable at all. I don`t want to be another guru, but it is true that you really have to start being in love and enjoy the process…even though sometimes it can be painful, I mean most of the time in the beginning. 🙂

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
”How to Become a no-limit person.” is one of my favorite books I’ve read, and I want to re-read it again soon. I took with me a good lesson that I started applying in my day-to-day life, like if a person is mean or lies are not my problem is their problem. The second takeaway lesson is if you start thinking and discussing more and more about something negative, that will grow even more.
