We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Ramon Harper a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Ramon, thank you so much for making time for us. We’ve always admired your ability to take risks and so maybe we can kick things off with a discussion around how you developed your ability to take and bear risk?
Growth and understanding that everyday when I wake up I have the chance to correct a mistake. Understanding that life isn’t perfect and you have to live one day at a time.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I stated Zest-N-Thyme Catering 10 years ago. I’ve always had an eye for art and a passion for cooking, so why not put both together and create food art. I started out with only soul food but wanted to be able to offer more than just that, so I invested in myself to learn more. With my business I want to bring a smile to my customer face with every bite. In the near future I’m looking to start my YouTube cooking channel so that people will be to know me on a different level my personality is like no other.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
My whole journey with my business has been the best time of my life.! Growth, time management and self confidence.
All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?
I would say that I second guess myself a lot and I tend to stand in my own way but I’m growing and learning everyday.
