Meet Ramon Rosius

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Ramon Rosius a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Ramon, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

I think my work ethic naturally comes from my parents and grandparents. My grandmother walked 10 hours to work living in Haiti. She walked from Gros morne to Port de paix which was about 30 miles. My mother and father when they came to America in the late 80s would work 2 two jobs while owning a business to support our growing family.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

I am currently the Vice Chairman of Senrosius & Co., our brand agency. My career began at Honda and Acura, where I became a master technician before transitioning to Tesla in 2020. Recognizing the shift in automotive technology, I became a diagnostic technician, collaborating with Tesla engineers. I later worked at Apple for a year before leading Rivian’s flagship store in strategy and commercial development. After Rivian, I joined Ferrari, focusing on design and media. Throughout my career with these major brands, I dedicated my free time to building Senrosius & Co., which originally started as Empire Records, LLC.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Research Skills: I would say information is Key. We live in a time where information is readily available. If you are interested in a career dive deep and take action.

Communication Skills: Find ways to communicate and engage with people. Be as authentic as possible people can feel your energy.

Work Ethic: If you want to be the best make sure you feel like no one works smarter or harder than you.

We’ve all got limited resources, time, energy, focus etc – so if you had to choose between going all in on your strengths or working on areas where you aren’t as strong, what would you choose?

Being well-rounded and constantly improving in different areas is essential. AI is a great example, tasks like storyboarding, which once took hours or days, can now be done in minutes. This shift applies across industries. Even during my time in the tech sector with Tesla, Apple, and Rivian, I continued honing my skills in marketing, communication, and brand development. Expanding your knowledge and abilities creates more opportunities and allows you to pivot when the unexpected circumstances happens. When I received a job offer at Ferrari, I had no prior experience in vehicle design, but my proficiency with Adobe products and strong presentation skills allowed me to transition seamlessly into a new industry.
