Meet Ramona Trevino

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Ramona Trevino a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Ramona, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

I have to admit for many years I was lost without purpose. Grew up with anxiety and depression from a very young age. This dark place led to thoughts of suicide and addiction. it was not until I had someone talk to me about Jesus that I was able to see a glimmer of hope. That glimmer has now carried me through to where I am today.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I began writing in 2015, my first book ” Free at Last the Struggle to be Good Enough” under the pseudonym, I.M.Dauntless; was a healing journey for me. Once I dealt with the hurts that were blocking my view of my purpose, I was able to soar with Christ by my side. A few years later I wrote “Blossoms of My Life” and met some amazing friends, James and Kelly Auel. They introduced me to local radio and had me on as a guest for a few months. I loved it! They soon asked if I would like my own show and suggested I call it Blossoms of My Life. This title was given to me with inspiration from the Lord. He showed me how so many people have played an important part of my growth and purpose, and that He had placed them in my life for a reason, they were the blossoms in my life. We all have blossoms, some go and some regenerate and bloom over and over again! So in 2018 it was launched and in 2022 we became a non profit with a 501c. (Mission/vision below) The radio show has reached over 49,000 listeners all over this continent and outside of the borders! It is quite exciting!! I have the honor of interviewing some pretty amazing people, all with passion and purpose to further the kingdom of God. God has allowed me to write a few other books, all are available on my website www.imdauntless.org
Mission statement

Life starts when you start giving – this is a phrase that has been guiding me throughout life, wherever I go. Having retired as a special needs teacher, many students and parents became part of my life and have a special place in my heart.
I believe that doing good is a gift that keeps on giving, and when you are doing kind deeds to others, you not only help others, but also yourself.
I want others to experience the same thing – the joy of giving, the joy of helping others, the amazing sense of purpose, livelihood and gratitude that it brings. That is my mission and passion.
Let me help you help others, and together – we will make the world a better place, for me, for you, for everyone.

Vision
We live in a society where some people live in poverty and have no means. Some people are sick. But worst of all – some people lose faith, and that’s where God can mend the broken pieces of mankind and our society.
We believe that faith can bring people together, it can mend hearts, and it can heal.
Blossoms of My Life Ministries was founded on that very basis, of faith and compassion.
We see a world that is broken and needs fixing, and we do not hesitate to take on that task, restoring faith to one soul at a time.

About Us
Blossoms of My Life Ministries is a non-profit organization rooted in faith, compassion and the universal mesh of people trying to make the world a better place. We were founded by Ramona Trevino in 2018 and have been working towards making a positive change in the world and in the lives of those who were faithless. We believe that we are here to make a positive change in the world through radio, speaking engagements and writing.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

1. The most impactful skill that has helped me through this journey, is in learning to trust God, and allow Him to take the wheel! I surely did not do a good job on my own. Once He helped heal me through my hurts and hang-ups, I was able to understand that with Him all things are possible.
2. Another skill is to learn how to listen, listen to others that speak to me, I can learn so much if I learn to truly listen to people. I can also offer the right kind of counsel by listening.
3. Mentoring others to be able to write and publish is a skill I am very grateful for. I did not have any idea of what to do when I had my first book published. I had signed up with a publisher thinking they were legit, and after a year they were arrested for embezzlement! This led me to seek help to self publish. Now the Lord has blessed me with people to help with their own writing journey. I believe that our gifts, talents and skills are given to us to use with others. It is up to us to share them with others, and to help others in areas that we have talents in.

My advice would be to ask and trust God to give you purpose, once you can see it clearly trust Him to carry you through!

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?

To me it is the Bible (B: Basic, I:Instruction, B: Before, L: Leaving, E: Earth) Once I began reading and studying the Word of God I began to allow the words to give me comfort, instruction and advice. I know that at first it can be difficult to understand, but we are so fortunate to have different translations to help a young learner to understand.
