Meet RAREBYRD$

We were lucky to catch up with RAREBYRD$ recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hi RAREBYRD$, thank you for being such a positive, uplifting group. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.
Our optimism comes from the inevitable force that is beyond desire. It comes from the necessity to create, not just “art” but Life, love & everything in-between. Whether we like to think so or not, we chose these bodies to carry us through our individual & collective journeys so , with that being said, it’s important to maintain our fuel in every(healthy) way possible.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
As a collective, RAREBYRD$ focuses on collaborations & empowerment thru sound. We’ve guided folks from young to old by relating circuitry(in regards to a soundboard) to how we relate as humans. Relatability is so important during this time, in an era where selfishness is at an all time high. We make it a point to bring a spiritual yet realistic approach to our teachings.
We are performers in every sense of the word, that bring a magnetism unlike any other. As a creative, keeping things fresh & exciting is a task itself, however, we maintain our inspiration by allowing it to flux, manifest itself in other ways outside of a typical muse, & overall, just be.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Tenacity, confidence, & being open. You have to desire your goals in order to obtain them. There has to be a relentless fire in your belly that tells you it’s meant to be. Confidence can be developed thru tasks or hobbies that build one’s skill set,
Whatever that may be. Which brings us to being open. In order to obtain & retain knowledge, one must be open to such things. It’s ok not to know. It’s ok to be taught & guided. Lean into it.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
The Art of War by Sun Tzu. The most impactful nugget would be in regards to understanding oneself in order to understand others, & vice versa.
