We were lucky to catch up with Raven Babicky recently and have shared our conversation below.

Raven , looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?

Oh man that is a loaded question.

Work ethic is one of those things that is sadly becomming less and less talked about. We grew up with nothing coming to be unless you made it. Life is full of the “little guys” and all of us have to make sure we are busting our butts to get things accomplished. With little kiddos looking at us as we do so, that task grows larger everyday.

The world is a big place my friends and we are intended to see as much of it as possible. To do that we have to work, grow, and learn from each other.

The old saying “Life is what you make it.” Is much more true than people would ever believe.

My favorite motto in life parters well with that. “We all grow more qhen we grow together.”

Working with other small business owners is 100% the favorite part pf my day.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I, Raven, am a Colorado Springs local and co-owner of Colorado Flash and Key. Our company is in a sort of weird niche and we love every minute of it.

I’m sure all of you have that mechanic friend or family mechanic. What we do is allow those ladies and gentlemen to have an alternative to the OEM dealership that may not have existed before.

As technology grows so does the cost of Automotive repair(as I’m sure you all know) and the factory dealerships don’t make those wounds anymore enjoyable.

Our team at Colorado Flash and Key brings the factory level programming and smart key options directly to you or your local mechanic WITHOUT the hassle of dragging it to the dealer, waiting days or weeks, and then paying outrageous dealership prices. We help the little guys get more done not only faster, but for less. In hopes this benefits the local Colorado Springs we love being a part of.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

One of the most important things for ANY business owner is effort. With so many big fish you have to stay determined and know that every down day is just a notch in the belt to save for the good days. Whatever you skill or industry is embrace it, and give it 110%. Being a business owner isn’t an everyday breeze, but it has so many rewards that being an employee will never have.

Wake up, plan, grind. Most important 3 things in any line of work.

How would you describe your ideal client?

Colorado Flash and Key is a quickly growing local endeavor. We look to partner up with other local owned automotive businesses and even directly with you folks as the consumer. From smart key replacements to vehicle module programming we strive to bring OEM equivalent services to our customers mobily amongst the Colorado Springs area.
