We recently connected with Raven Blue and have shared our conversation below.
Raven , so happy to have you with us today. You are such a creative person, but have you ever had any sort of creativity block along the way? If so, can you talk to us about how you overcame or beat it?
When I’m stuck creatively I spend time attending burlesque shows, I like to immerse myself into the energy of the shows, it gives me inspiration and revives me. I also take movement/embodiment classes or just dancing in general to get me out of my head and into my body.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
So I am a Burlesque Artist and Pinup Model, and Muse coming out of Austin, Texas.
I perform with Frisky Business Burlesque Troupe. We Showcase a variety of acts, including classic burlesque, dance, singing, aerial and so much more. I can’t really tell you which style I love doing the most, so I do a little of everything. It could be from GoGo dancing to serpentine movement. I really want to learn it all. The art of the tease and seduction is what really drives me though. Seducing the audience through dance and storytelling is what I thrive off of.
If you don’t know what Burlesque is, come to one of our shows if you are in Austin, TX. Or find a show in your town or city. You will be fascinated, I guarantee you.

In there periodically. The magazine features everything from new movies, writers, stories, tattoo artists, art and more.
I am also the head creator with Jokers Eye Collective. Photographic art. I am looking for photographers and models to create with. I am looking for creepy, weird and graphic stories to photograph and put in art shows and galleries.
As far as Pinup. You can find me in classic pinup magazines, car shows or in pageants.
I am for hire so if you need me for events, shoots, movies I am available.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Learn as much as you can about your craft. Learn the history. Learn about the whole process from beginning to end. How to produce a show to editing your own images. A good team is essential but it’s good to know the whole process. Be brave and think outside the box.
