Meet Raven Bradford

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Raven Bradford a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Raven , so great to be with you and I think a lot of folks are going to benefit from hearing your story and lessons and wisdom. Imposter Syndrome is something that we know how words to describe, but it’s something that has held people back forever and so we’re really interested to hear about your story and how you overcame imposter syndrome.

My resilience comes from my faith and from being a mother. I’ve faced seasons that could have broken me — from building a business while raising my kids, to walking through legal battles, to moments where I questioned if I was enough. But I remind myself daily who created me. God never made me to be small or unseen, and when imposter syndrome tries to creep in, I’ve learned to cast those thoughts down and replace them with His truth.

I also think of my children. They deserve to see their mom not just surviving, but thriving. That pushes me to keep showing up, even on the hardest days. My strength doesn’t come from me — it comes from God. He’s the one who turns my weakness into power and gives me the confidence to keep going.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?

I’m a Dallas wedding photographer, branding photographer, and content creator. I also create recap videos that let people relive their moments and events in a powerful way. I work under my own brand as well as Naomi & my photographer branding.

What makes my work different is that I’m not afraid to use all the gifts God gave me. In a world where everyone says you have to niche down, I am embracing all of my talents. Everything I’ve walked through — the wins and the struggles — has shaped me, and I bring that into the way I serve my clients.

I give all the glory to God because He is the one who called me to this. I want every bride, business owner, and creative I work with to feel confident, seen, and supported. Whether it’s wedding photos, branding sessions, or recap videos, I pray over my work and I want it to bless people and point them back to Him.

Right now, I’m booking weddings, branding sessions, headshots, and recap videos in Dallas-Fort Worth. My goal is to keep creating content that helps people shine in their purpose, while raising my kids and building a business that honors God.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

My three most important qualities are authenticity, honesty, and resilience.

I am authentic — what you see is what you get, and I think people connect with that because I don’t try to be someone I’m not. I am honest — with myself and with others, and that keeps me grounded. And I am resilient — no matter how many times I fall, I don’t give up. I’m also open to learning and growing. I don’t get easily offended because I know constructive criticism helps me become better.

We’ve all got limited resources, time, energy, focus etc – so if you had to choose between going all in on your strengths or working on areas where you aren’t as strong, what would you choose?

I believe God gave me more than one gift, so I don’t think I have to choose between going all in on one strength or trying to be well-rounded. For me, it’s both. I pour myself into the things I’m naturally strong at — photography, content creation, connecting with people — but I also work on the areas where I need to grow because I know they shape me too.

People always say you have to ‘niche down,’ but I’ve learned that everything I’ve been through, every skill I’ve picked up, is part of my calling. My strength is that I’m multi-gifted, and I refuse to let that be a weakness. I don’t need to fit into one box — I just need to stay obedient to God, use what He gave me, and keep learning along the way.
