Meet Ray Foreman

We recently connected with Ray Foreman and have shared our conversation below.

Ray , thank you so much for joining us and offering your lessons and wisdom for our readers. One of the things we most admire about you is your generosity and so we’d love if you could talk to us about where you think your generosity comes from.
My generosity really comes from my parents. Growing up my mother and father always told my siblings and I that all they want from us is to be good people. So they always stayed on us with things like manners, opening doors, saying yes ma’am and yes sir etc. I love that they did that because these are still things I carry with me today and that have helped me down the road in life.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Before anything I am an actor! I moved to LA from Denver to pursue my acting career and with enough hard work and dedication I was blessed enough to be able to do what I love. While being on set and working on n front of the camera I also realized that I like behind the camera work too, I’ve always liked to know how things worked so naturally I started looking up how to become a producer in top on being an actor. I wanted to brand myself as someone that can do anything in this industrial and not just play a linear role.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The three qualities that I feel were the most impactful to me were reliability, dependability and never giving up. I say this because of people can know for a fact you will get the job done no matter what it takes, no excuses and no half stepping then no matter what they will want to work with you again. The best way to improve these skills is to always try and go the extra mile, this shows people that this person really wants it more than other people and in this city that really matters.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I am always looking for new creatives to collaborate with! Actors, writers, producers, musicians etc. I love being able to create behind and in front of the camera so I always look at what other people are doing and if there is a way I can help elevate the project or bring to it what I believe it is missing. All creatives can reach me by email or by Instagram!
