Meet Rebecca Kravitz

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Rebecca Kravitz. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Rebecca , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?

I traveled alone in December 2023 after going ending a 6 year relationship that summer. I needed time to pause, reset and ground myself in new experiences. Traveling solo helped me be very introspective. It allowed me to think about what I wanted out of life and what my values were.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

Meople was born from a profound love for family, particularly inspired by our deep admiration for Grandpa Green. Our first custom game was a tribute to him, a keepsake brimming with his life’s incredible memories and stories. We wanted a way to reminisce, celebrate, and keep his legacy alive through something tangible and personal.

At Meople, we specialize in creating custom games that bring people together. Our journey began with a desire to make the process of memorializing loved ones both fun and meaningful. What started as a deeply personal project has evolved into a mission to make custom game creation accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Our innovative software transforms what was once a painful process into something seamless and joyful, reconnecting people with technology.

What sets Meople apart is our unique blend of technology and connection. We’re not just about games; we’re about storytelling, legacy, and fostering deeper relationships. Our platform allows families, businesses, and communities to capture their histories and values in a creative and engaging way. Beyond personal use, Meople games serve as powerful tools for companies to share their brand stories and for individuals to explore personal growth through our therapeutic software.

Having spent eight years in the tech industry, I’ve witnessed firsthand the disconnection technology can bring. Meople is my answer to this challenge. I wanted to reshape how we use tech by turning it into a tool for connection, rather than isolation. With Meople, we’re building communities—first through our devices and then fully in-person as we gather to play the games we’ve created.

Our offerings have expanded to include more than just custom board games. Meople Connect cards are another exciting product, designed as journal prompts, ice-breakers, or introspective tools. While currently customizable for bulk business orders, we’re planning to roll out more options soon for consumers as well. We are also offering a curated selection of other brands’ and relevant games, including our “2024 Wrapped” game, which highlights last year’s biggest pop culture trends.

Meople isn’t just a brand; it’s a movement towards meaningful connection and storytelling. Whether you’re creating a game to honor a loved one, exploring your company’s history, or simply looking to reconnect with yourself and others, Meople is here to make those moments memorable and impactful.

Meople also offers workshops and professional photography services when you buy bulk games. The workshops are designed to facilitate team building, and interpersonal connection for hospitals, camps, schools, nonprofits and brands. The photography and social media services are created to help you utilize our Meople games as campaigns to help better connect customers with your brand and there is no better way to do that then something as novel as a custom game!

Stay tuned for more updates and products as we continue to grow and innovate, bringing people closer together one game at a time.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Looking back on my journey, three qualities stand out as the most impactful in shaping where I am today: grit, resilience, and integrity.

Grit is the power of perseverance, is about more than just working hard. It’s about maintaining passion and effort over the long term, even when the initial excitement fades. Seeing the long-term vision and goal is like the light at the end of the tunnel when times are tough. This helps with perspective during the ebs and flows of building yourself up.

Then there’s resilience, the ability to bounce back from difficulties. Life and business are unpredictable, and setbacks are inevitable. What matters is how you respond. Building resilience starts with creating a support system of people who encourage and uplift you. Having a network to lean on during tough times makes a world of difference. Equally important is cultivating a growth mindset. This means seeing challenges not as insurmountable obstacles but as opportunities to learn and grow. Resilience also requires taking care of your mental and physical health. When you’re in a good place emotionally and physically, it’s easier to weather the storms and emerge stronger.

Finally, integrity is about staying true to your values, even when it’s not the easiest path. It’s about being honest and consistent in your actions. Integrity builds trust and credibility, both of which are invaluable in life and business. To embody integrity, you must first be clear about your core values. What do you stand for? What principles will guide your decisions, no matter the circumstances? Once you’ve defined these, consistency is key. Your actions should always align with your words. This not only earns the trust of others but also creates an environment where ethical behavior is the norm.

Embracing these qualities—grit, resilience, and integrity—doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a continuous journey of self-improvement and self-awareness. For those early in their journey, the advice is simple: stay persistent, stay open to continuous learning, and always act with integrity. These qualities will not only help you navigate your path more effectively but will also inspire and lead those around you. Success is built on the foundation of these timeless principles.

How would you describe your ideal client?

At Meople, we’ve identified two distinct camps of ideal customers, each drawn to the unique value our games offer.

The first group includes organizations seeking creative and engaging ways to share their message. In a world where traditional methods like books or lectures can quickly lose their impact, Meople provides a fresh alternative. Learning, at its core, thrives on stimulating the mind and reinforcing messages through repetition. By embedding their messages into gameplay, organizations can make learning more interactive and enjoyable, ensuring the message resonates and sticks. This approach transforms passive learning into an active and fun experience, making it far more effective and memorable.

The second ideal customer is the individual who finds joy in making their loved ones feel special. These are people who cherish their friends and family and seek meaningful ways to show their love and appreciation. For them, a Meople game isn’t just about the fun of gameplay—it’s about the emotional impact of giving. Receiving a Meople game is more than just getting a new activity; it’s about the thoughtfulness and care behind the gift. It’s a token of love that creates lasting memories and strengthens bonds, making people feel seen, valued, and connected.

In essence, Meople is not just about playing games—it’s about enriching lives, whether by enhancing learning or deepening personal connections.
