We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Rebecca Murdasova a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Rebecca , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I found my purpose through God’s guidance and the clear path He laid out for me. At a time when I was uncertain about my future, God provided everything I needed to make my business a reality. By pursuing what I love—making coffee—I discovered that my true calling is to serve others and be a light in their lives. Something as simple as coffee has allowed me to connect with countless people, share experiences, and bring a little joy into their days. This journey has shown me that my soul’s purpose is deeply intertwined with serving others and making a difference.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I run a mobile coffee cart that’s been a part of all sorts of fantastic events like corporate events, office events, conferences, weddings, bridal and baby showers, and so much more!
Even though my business has only been up and running for less than a year, I’ve had the chance to experience some truly amazing moments, from being on a movie set to connecting with a ton of incredible people. And guess what? We’re about to make things even more exciting with the launch of our full-service hot chocolate bar, coming your way in just a couple of weeks! It’s going to be a fun, cozy addition to our offerings, and I can’t wait to share it with everyone.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I’d definitely say that being decisive is a crucial skill in running a business. Being indecisive can hold you back and create unnecessary delays. When I started my journey, I knew I needed to strike a balance—avoid overthinking every little detail while still aiming for the best outcome. Sure, it’s tempting to get caught up in trying to make everything perfect, and yes, there’s always a possibility of finding something better, but I learned to simplify the process.
For example, when choosing the color and vibe for my coffee cart, I did my research and came up with a list of ideas. By clearly identifying what I wanted and didn’t want, I was able to make decisions more easily. This approach helped me avoid getting overwhelmed in the small stuff and allowed me to move forward with confidence. Making decisions this way has been a key part of my business journey, allowing me to focus on what really matters and keep things moving smoothly.
Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?
As an introvert, I initially struggled with being that super talkative person at events. However, once I started attending more events and meeting incredible people, I found that my confidence grew. I began to open up more and become more engaged in conversations. This new sense of confidence made me excited to meet even more people. I realized I wanted to be that positive presence who makes a real impact on someone’s day with a friendly chat and a warm interaction.
