We recently connected with Rebekah Saint and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Rebekah, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
I’m an actress- and rejection is part of my everyday life. But my story of falling started long before the stage. I dropped out several times, moved more than 30 times across two countries, and faced hardships that constantly forced me to start over. That’s where resilience steps in- the Latin word resilientia literally means “the ability to spring back.”
I picture all our lives like a private investigator board, with red strings connecting people, places, and events- every thread perfectly orchestrated by a master planner. Each fall, each setback, each open door taught me how to adapt, connect, lead, and keep growing. Romans 8:28 says that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him- and I’ve seen that in my story, from being a dropout to a crisis counselor, to being a director of children’s ministry, helping nonprofits in Austin, and now public speaking & acting.
My resilience comes from knowing that no matter how hard I fall, I can spring back- because my identity isn’t in my circumstances, it’s in God. And the beautiful part is, you can spring back too. Those red strings are still connected, and God’s plan is still at work in your life.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Hey, I’m Rebekah Saint. I’m an actress, storyteller, and creative who loves using every platform I have- from film to live painting to public speaking- to connect people to their purpose.
I’ve always loved film. When I was fifteen, my friends and I made a terrible zombie short- the acting was bad, the editing was worse, but I absolutely loved it. I didn’t realize it then, but that spark for storytelling would one day grow into something bigger.
My acting career started in Nebraska, of all places. A friend asked me to be in a commercial he was shooting for a Mexican restaurant where I basically just ate tacos on camera. That one gig led to a few more, and before long, opportunities started unfolding in ways I couldn’t have planned.
In 2023, I moved to Austin, and things really took off. Since then, I’ve filmed national commercials and narratives- some were for brands like SeaWorld, Joe Rogan’s ONNIT, and Grunt Style, and others for upcoming film and TV projects. Acting has opened incredible doors and connected me with people from all over the world. For me, acting isn’t about pretending- it’s about connection. It’s telling stories that make people feel seen, known, and understood.
Outside of acting, I love serving in my community- helping build nonprofits, leading a children’s ministry, and working with youth and young adults across Austin. I also speak at events about growth, resilience, and moving with purpose.
I’m a dual citizen of Canada and the U.S., and I’ve moved over 30 times in my life. All those moves taught me how to adapt, grow, and connect with people from every walk of life. Whether I’m on set, painting live at an event, or serving in ministry, my heart stays the same- to inspire and connect people to their purpose God has for them.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
1. Learn to Prune
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that pruning isn’t punishment- it’s preparation. It’s like gardening: sometimes life trims away things that no longer serve your growth- people, habits, distractions, even dreams that once made sense. It can feel uncomfortable or lonely, but pruning is what makes room for fruit to grow. Growth always needs a little shedding before the bloom.
2. Rejection as Redirection
Rejection is a vital part of life- especially in acting, where it’s 99 no’s to get to the one big yes. I’ve learned to see it as protection and redirection. Closed doors aren’t failures; they’re often God steering you toward something better. Don’t take it personally- trust the timing and purpose behind each ‘no.’ It’s often exactly what you need to get to the right ‘yes.’
3. Most Importantly, Put God First
Nothing works without Him. Jesus changed my life completely. The peace, the purpose, the direction- it all starts with putting God first. When I give Him my first- my time, my trust, my heart- everything else falls into place. Spend time with Him every day. Talk to Him like a friend. Let Him lead, and you’ll never walk alone.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
Out of all the lessons my parents taught me, gratitude is the most impactful. Even after moving more than 30 times and starting over again and again- they showed me what it looks like to stay thankful and hopeful. My dad worked hard to provide for us and went to medical school at 34 while raising a family, and my mom supported us through it all. Through their example, I learned that gratitude isn’t just a feeling- it’s a choice. An attitude of gratitude changes lives.
Proverbs 3:6 says, “In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.” I’ve seen this in my own life: when I focus on gratitude, worry flees our lives. Even neuroscience shows that when your brain is in a state of gratitude, it can’t be in a state of anxiety at the same time. Gratitude helps me see God’s hand guiding me, even in the messy parts of life.
