Rebel , we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.
For us, it all started with a shared love for music and a deep desire to break the mold.
We’re Lourdes Rosales and Naxo Lara, the creators of Rebel Strings—a project that has grown into one of the most recognized names in Electric Strings Entertainment. What began as two classically trained musicians experimenting with new sounds quickly turned into a mission: to redefine what string instruments can do and how they can elevate, with elegance and energy, any wedding or event.
Whether we’re on stage, teaching young musicians, or developing new projects under Rebel Strings or SCIFI Ensemble, our purpose is clear: to elevate the role of strings in contemporary culture and to inspire young generations to find freedom and expression through music.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
We’re passionate about reimagining the role of strings in live entertainment. What sets us apart is our ability to blend classical training with cutting-edge technology and modern techniques—fusing electric string instruments into unforgettable experiences.
Every event is a new opportunity to take the electric violin where it’s never been before. Whether it’s a rooftop wedding in Manhattan or a corporate destination event in Puerto Rico, we approach each project with the same intention: to create something truly one-of-a-kind. Our work isn’t just about music—it’s about storytelling, elegance, and impact.
Over the years, we’ve had the honor of working with visionary clients such as L’Oréal, Vogue, RedBridge, Lamborghini, who trust our ability to craft curated, high-impact performances tailored to their unique events.
Beyond performance, we’re expanding our creative reach through SCIFI Ensemble, a cinematic string show designed for theaters, festivals, and educational programs. With this project, we introduce younger generations to the power of live strings through the music of film, video games, and anime—merging improvisation, technology, and the soundtracks they love.
We’re currently developing new content, preparing for international performances, and deepening our collaborations with GlasserNY and Larsen Strings North America, who support our mission to innovate without limits.
There’s so much more ahead—and we’re just getting started.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
1. Versatility: Our classical training gave us a solid foundation—but it was embracing versatility, both musically and professionally, that allowed us to thrive beyond the traditional concert stage. From fashion shows to luxury weddings and private events, we’ve adapted our artistry to different settings without ever compromising quality.
2. Vision: We’ve always seen ourselves not just as performers, but as creators of experiences. That mindset led us to build Rebel Strings into a boutique music agency and to collaborate with iconic brands like Vogue and L’Oréal. Having a clear sense of purpose—and the courage to innovate—has made all the difference in our journey.
3. Professionalism: Talent may open doors, but professionalism is what keeps them open. From communication and preparation to gear quality, attire, and stage presence, we take every detail seriously. That level of care is what earns trust, especially in the luxury and corporate worlds where expectations are high.
Our advice:
Stay curious and open-minded. Learn beyond your craft—dive into business, branding, and technology—and surround yourself with people who challenge you to grow. Above all, take your art seriously, but also treat it as a service: understand your audience, deliver with excellence, and never stop evolving.
What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
Our biggest area of growth in the past 12 months has been expanding our roster of professional Rebel musicians. What started as just the two of us has evolved into a growing network of top-tier artists who share our vision and standards. This step has allowed us to take on more events, offer a wider range of formats, and maintain the high level of artistry and style that defines Rebel Strings—no matter where or with whom we perform.
It’s been a big leap in scaling our agency while staying true to our identity.
