Meet Regan Adams

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Regan Adams. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Regan below.

Regan, we sincerely appreciate you joining us today and agreeing to talk about some very personal topics. So, to kick things off, let’s talk about a tough one – divorce. Can you talk to us about how you overcame divorce?
I was able to overcome divorce by taking accountability for my part on the marriage. I was never supposed to marry him in the first place. I oftentimes see women who want the wedding but don’t understand what marriage actually is, who they are and why they want to be married in the first place. And that totally described me!

My ex-husband went to prison a few years before I filed for divorce. During his absence, I was able to reflect on who I was without him in my life. I had lost myself in the marriage and being a mother. I didn’t know anything about me. So I took the time he was away to rediscover myself. I found new things I loved about me, what my purpose in life is and operate in that. While in this discovery and growth, my ex and I had many discussions about changes in me, our marriage and what I wanted from it moving forward. The more we talked about our wants and needs, we couldn’t come to a happy middle ground. He wanted the old wife and marriage as it had been. That wasn’t going to work for me at that point. I wanted better and at that time I FINALLY knew I deserved better. When he was released from prison, I filed for divorce and I didn’t look back! I have no regrets and was able to mourn the loss of the divorce and separation from him while he was in prison. By the time we signed the papers, I was completely over it.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
On August 26, 2022, I decided to move from my hometown of Tennessee to Houston,TX to relaunch and redesign my businesses. Yes, I had been in business nine years prior, but I had reached a ceiling in my hometown. Also, the events I hosted were typically in other states. I wanted to live in a place where I didn’t have to travel if I didn’t want. I also wanted to live in a place that my services are needed. I visited Houston in 2019 to research hosting an event here and fell in love with it. I knew I wanted to live here then, but I had no plan. My ex-husband and I share a child, he was still incarcerated and covid came shortly after my visit. Fast forward, my ex was released from prison early due to covid. We ended up filing for divorce and seven months after that, he passed away. In a little over a year, I was able to move to Houston and have a fresh start for my family and our lives.

The name of my business is All Things Regan. It houses several businesses under that umbrella. I specialize in self care and self love for women. Once we get ourselves in order, we look at the friendships we have, need or want and how we be better together. Then it moves over to romantic relationships. I push the agenda of having healthy relationships and conversations while discovering new relationships or if you’re already in one.

I am currently offering divorce aftercare to women. I know all to well about losing yourself in the marriage and trying to find your way out to a brighter side of life. I walk through that with women and we come up with solutions on how they can live their best lives from the inside out. After that, if they are interested in finding love again, I help them build their perfect man from the inside out in my one-on-one class or events called The Build-A-Man Workshop. I know it sounds crazy, but it’s not, I promise. Lastly, I have a group and event I host called Dating Is Dead, Who Killed It. It’s a group of men, women, therapist and dating coaches who help men and women understand relationships. But also understand who they are, their past and how that may be affecting how they show up in their relationships. I’ve actually had a marriage come out of this event. I’m excited to see many more.

Overall, I’ve taken my lemons and made lemonade. Everything I have gone through in my life, I’ve used it as a learning tool and and launching pad to help others. I wouldn’t change what I went through for anything in the world. It made me who I am and equipped me to help other people, and for that, I am grateful.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Self-discovery, self-care and self-love are the most important qualities that are needed before you start anything in life in my opinion and what I know to be true in my life. Without knowing who you are, you will walk around this world aimlessly with no plan, accepting poor treatment and not living the life you were called to have. It’s not fair to you and not fair to the people you are supposed to serve. Yes, you are supposed to serve others with your gifts. There are people waiting on you to find out who you are and why you are on this earth.

My advice is to learn who you are and why you were made. Start having conversations with relatives and knowing your history. I did it and it made me more confident in my life and that helps the people I serve. If I’m confident, it helps them know they can be too.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I have always believed and experienced that two is better than one and it’s the same in business. I would love to collaborate with anyone who promotes a mentally healthy and prosperous lifestyle especially for women. Also, a business who believes in love for self and balanced romantic relationships.
