We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Regina Moore a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Regina, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

I get my resilience from growing through my life, not pretending I have it all figured out.
Everything I’ve learned — as a woman, a wife, a mother, and a part of Chef Flavas — has come through experience, not perfection.

My strength doesn’t come from never falling.
It comes from learning how to stand back up with more clarity, more intention, and more grace.

And honestly… it’s still a work in progress.
Some days it feels like I’m starting from day one again.
But that’s part of the journey.
You get to forgive yourself, breathe, and keep going.

I’ve had moments where life held a mirror up to me —
where I had to face the version of myself I thought I was
and the version of myself I actually was in that moment.
And that truth can feel like a kind of death…
because growth requires honesty.
But resilience is choosing to keep going anyway, no matter what it looks like for you.

My husband and I don’t build from a place of perfection —
we build from unity, accountability, and choosing to evolve together.
That’s real partnership.
That’s real resilience.

And for other women, I want them to know:
It’s okay if you drift.
It’s okay if you get off track.
Just take accountability, recenter, forgive yourself,
and try again… and again… and again… until it becomes your life.

Because you owe yourself that much.
You deserve to grow without shame.
You deserve to rise at your own pace.
And you deserve to become the woman you’re called to be — even if you become her one restart at a time.

At my core, I’m a creative visionary and a builder. My husband and I created Chef Flavas with one goal: to bring bold, memorable food experiences to families everywhere — starting with our signature Chef Flavas Spinach Artichoke Dip, a product that has already made its way onto Walmart shelves in the Midwest and Southern regions.

What makes our brand special is not just the flavor — it’s the story, the intention, and the way we show up together.
I handle the creative direction, brand vision, and marketing strategies behind Chef Flavas, and that’s a part of the business I love deeply. I’m always thinking about how to visually elevate our product, how to connect emotionally with our community, and how to present our brand in a way that feels fresh, modern, and unforgettable.

Chef Flavas is about food, but it’s also about art, culture, and storytelling.
We treat our brand like a legacy — something our children, our community, and our customers can be proud of.

Right now, we’re in one of the most exciting seasons of growth:

• Expanding distribution of our Chef Flavas Spinach Artichoke Dip throughout the Midwest
• Actively pursuing partnerships with major retailers to bring our products to even more shelves nationwide
• Preparing to launch Chef Flavas E-commerce in 2026 — making our products accessible to families across the U.S.
• Franchising Chef Flavas Restaurant and opening new locations in Memphis
• Exploring collaborations, partnerships, and community-based opportunities that align with our mission of building community, one dip at a time
• Launching EI (Entrepreneur Incubator / EI Strategies) — a strategic consulting and creative solutions platform designed to support founders, creatives, and small businesses through structured growth, brand development, and scalable systems rooted in real-world entrepreneurship

Every step of this journey has been a blend of my husband’s culinary genius and my creative marketing vision. We bring two different strengths to the table that work together seamlessly — and that’s what gives Chef Flavas its depth, its energy, and its soul.

We’re not just building a brand.
We’re building a cultural staple.
We’re building something our community can feel connected to.
We’re building a legacy that reaches far beyond the kitchen.

And the most exciting part is…
we’re only just getting started.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
1. Vision — even when the path wasn’t clear One of the biggest qualities that shaped my journey was learning how to hold a vision bigger than my circumstances.
Chef Flavas didn’t start with fame or connections — it started with belief, ideas, and discipline. There were seasons when the growth felt slow or uncertain, but vision kept us grounded. It kept me creative. It kept us moving.

Advice:
If you’re early in your journey, protect your vision even before people understand it.
Write things down.
Build mood boards.
Talk life into your ideas.
And don’t shrink your dreams just because your resources aren’t there yet — sometimes the vision arrives before the equipment does.

2. Flexibility & Emotional Intelligence — learning how to evolve while still building
I used to think you needed to be fully “ready” or fully “healed” to build something big. I realized quickly that growth happens while you’re building. Being flexible, being willing to learn, being open to being wrong, and being emotionally honest with yourself — those are skills.

A lot of my strength came from being able to say:
“Let me adjust. Let me learn. Let me grow into this role.”

Advice:
Stay teachable.
When life holds a mirror to you, don’t run from it.
That moment when you realize who you actually are versus who you thought you were — it can feel uncomfortable, but that’s where real elevation begins.
Take accountability, reset, forgive yourself, and try again — as many times as you need to. Growth is a loop, not a straight line.

3. Creative Courage — trusting my ideas and my artistic voice
A huge part of what I bring to Chef Flavas is creative direction — branding, marketing, visuals, storytelling. For a long time, I downplayed that gift because it didn’t feel “traditional.” But once I embraced it, our brand elevated.

Creativity is not just art — it’s strategy.
It’s innovation.
It’s the ability to see what others don’t.
It’s what makes a brand stand out in a crowded market.

Advice:
Don’t silence your creativity because it’s different.
Your ideas, your perspective, and your artistic eye can be the very thing that shifts your entire business.
Study your craft.
Go down rabbit holes.
Try things.
Fail forward.
And most importantly — trust that your creativity is a skill, not a hobby.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
The person who has impacted my growth the most is my husband. Not just as a partner, but as someone who chose to stand in the fire with me while I figured out what it meant to become a woman, a mother, a wife, and a creator — all at the same time.

He has shown an incredible amount of patience, intention, and dedication toward our shared vision and toward my personal development. One thing I truly honor about him is his honesty. He had the strength to call out characteristics in me that he felt could hold me back — not to tear me down, but to elevate me. And he gave me the grace, space, and time to grow into the woman I am becoming.

I come from a background where my father was incarcerated and my mother was young and still finding her way. My grandmother raised me with so much love, but she could only pour into me from her level of knowledge. I learned survival, loyalty, and resilience — but the tools to become an empowered woman, a leader, and a visionary were things I had to develop on my own.

And having my husband beside me made that path clearer.
With him, I learned how to navigate life with more intention.
I learned accountability, discipline, structure, faith, and alignment.
I learned how to match my dreams with action and how to step into the version of myself that God meant for me to be.

Together, we’ve seen manifestation and alignment happen right before our eyes — not just in our business, Chef Flavas, but in our everyday lives.

His growth, his consistency, and his belief in me played a major role in shaping who I am today. And I’m grateful, because our partnership hasn’t just created a brand…
it has helped create a woman who is ready to lead, build, and leave a legacy.
