Meet Regina Sunshine Robinson

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Regina Sunshine Robinson. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Regina Sunshine below.

Regina Sunshine, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
I am who I am and I walk through this world with confidence because it is how I was raised. My mother was the original Sunshine. She spoke so much life and love in to me. She always said I was beautiful and smart and God had great plans for my life. I believed I could win because she always told me I was a winner.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I’m an Empowerment Specialist. I empower others to achieve their dreams and live in purpose. Whether that’s through publishing, coaching or motivational speaking, my goal is the same, leave people better than I found them and assist them in living out their purpose in the Earth. I lead empowerment sessions and classes. I host, broadcast, and produce community building and life affirming content. In the last 8 months, both of my parents passed away. In fact they died 27 days apart. In my grief and this new normal, I have been reminded so many times that I have so much purpose still left to fulfill. So right now I am rebuilding and gearing up for a full rebrand in 2024 while coaching and assisting my clients in publishing their books. In the first dream I had about my mother after she transitioned, she said these words, ” You know who you are.” So I’m still here…still winning…still shining and still living my purpose in the Earth.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
The things that have always carried me forward is that I have a positive mental attitude, that I have tremendous people skills, and that I have the ability to create new business and come up with new ideas.. I believe in myself. I tell so many clients that they have to believe in themselves and develop a positive mental attitude. You must deliberately create the mindset you want. Another is that you have to develop great people skills. If you don’t naturally have them, look for books that will help you in that area. And you must always be open to creating new ideas and business. Be ready to reinvent yourself and your business when necessary.

All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?
My number one obstacle right now is grief. When my mother died on Nov. 17, 2022, it knocked the wind out of me. Then my daddy died 27 days later on December 14, 2022. Before this happened, there’s no way you could have told me something like this would have happened, and I wouldn’t have lost my mind. But I’m still here. And everything my mother poured in to me continues to give me strength and remind me I have purpose. There are some very specific things I am doing to help me move forward in this new normal. First, I have given myself space to just grieve…just be. So many people know me from being very active in the community and always working on various projects. Right now I am taking things slow and taking only a few focused and highly purposeful projects. This keeps me operating in my gifts and also allows me space when I’m not okay. Second, I hired a grief coach. I have benefited from coaching in so many other areas of my life. So this just made sense, And the experience has been tremendous. To be able to walk this journey with someone who’s already traveled this road and that has been anointed to help others, has been such a blessing. There’s so much more for me to do. So I will allow myself to grieve but I will not die on this hill. Third, I have accepted that sometimes, I just won’t be okay and that’s okay. This is a new reality and it’s not always pleasant. I accept that and allow myself to sit down. I just don’t stay there.
