We were lucky to catch up with Rehman Siddiq recently and have shared our conversation below.
Rehman, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
It has been an a journey of self-discovery and progress to find my mission. Originally from Pakistan, I started MacroHype in New York City with the intention of building a profitable company. As my marketing firm expanded, I realized that my mission was to have a significant influence in addition to being successful in business.
Observing our clients thrive brings me great happiness and is one of the most fulfilling aspects of running MacroHype. It is immensely satisfying to know that our efforts contribute to their achievement. Beyond that, I’m really proud of the fact that my company provides for the families of over 50 employees. Knowing that our accomplishment directly affects so many households and enhances their quality of life makes me feel immensely happy and has added an extra bit of responsibility on my shoulders.
Combining my entrepreneurial endeavors with a social responsibility is how I define purpose. It’s about using my platform to improve people’s lives while simultaneously achieving corporate objectives. My biggest satisfaction comes from witnessing the real effects of my work on our clients and team, which motivates me to keep pushing for perfection.

My name is Rehman Siddiq, and I founded the New York City-based marketing firm MacroHype. At MacroHype, we’re passionate about providing cutting-edge marketing solutions that support companies’ expansion and success in an increasingly cutthroat industry. We collaborate closely with a wide spectrum of customers, developing strategies that boost their brands and produce noticeable outcomes.

In addition to business, social activism is something I’m really passionate about. I firmly think that success entails a need to give back, so I’m constantly looking for new and creative methods to support the community. What I find most satisfying is this combined emphasis on social impact and business.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Reflecting on my journey, three qualities that have been most impactful are attention to detail, effective communication, and transparency with clients. Attention to detail ensures that our marketing strategies are meticulously crafted and executed, leading to high-quality results. Effective communication and transparency help build strong, trusting relationships with clients, keeping them informed and confident in our work.
For those starting out, focusing on these skills is crucial. Prioritize meticulous attention to detail, enhance your communication abilities, and be transparent with your clients. Additionally, understand that the best form of marketing is word of mouth, highlighting why customer satisfaction is paramount. Aim for long-term growth rather than short-term gains; investing in client satisfaction—sometimes even refunding unsatisfied clients—is key to sustained success. Equally important is to avoid selfishness by investing in your workforce. Provide your team with a share of the profits and other perks to ensure they are motivated and valued. A happy and well-supported team, combined with satisfied clients, creates a strong foundation for long-term success.
What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
Growing up in a traditional South Asian family, there was significant pressure to pursue conventional stable careers like becoming a doctor, engineer, or banker. However, the most impactful thing my parents did for me was supporting my entrepreneurial passion. They provided unwavering motivation and encouragement, even during the toughest times.
Entrepreneurship is challenging—there are days when you work more than 18 hours, tackle complex projects, and face significant risks. My parents’ support was crucial in helping me stay motivated and resilient through these demanding periods. Their belief in my vision and their encouragement were instrumental in helping me navigate the highs and lows of building my business. Their backing gave me the confidence to pursue my dreams and overcome the obstacles along the way.
