Meet Ren Robertz

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Ren Robertz. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Ren, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

My purpose came screaming into my ear after I asked for it: I teach people how to build businesses that last, businesses that create freedom (financial freedom, time freedom, and peace of mind), and businesses and people who do good in our world for generations. That soul-searching summer I was going through a painful breakup in both my business and personal life. I was 25, had a successful Los Angeles petting zoo, and yearned for more time with my own kids. However, I’d built myself a trap: my business needed me to work 7 days a week to afford my paycheck. I cried out for a better path where I could have a profitable business yet not have to work all the time. After performing for thousands of children hauling farm animals, parrots, and reptiles around Southern California for years, I yearned for something more and asked to know what my purpose was. Well, “ask and it is given” and soon after the words for my purpose woke me up YELLING into my mind so loud that I felt compelled to run down to the park, climb on the stone roof of an abandoned building, and speak these words aloud the first time: I teach people how to build businesses that last, businesses that create freedom (financial freedom, time freedom, and peace of mind), and businesses and people who do good in our world for generations.

Knowing and resonating with my purpose, at least in word form, became the beacon that has guided my actions every day since then. Within a few months, I sold my petting zoo to my business partner and followed my inner voice telling me to move to Hawaii sight unseen where I created multiple online businesses that I don’t have to work in and managed by virtual assistants. Now, through my company “Financial Freedom & Joy” I love helping other entrepreneurs do the same: to build businesses that not only succeed, they make a positive lasting impact all while enjoying more free leads, passive sales, and time freedom.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

I have several online businesses that virtual assistants manage for me so I can spend most of my time helping other business owners. I’m an online business mentor who helps entrepreneurs create sustainable, profitable businesses with a focus on building passive income streams so you can enjoy more freedom and flexibility. My goal is for all my business students to be able to create enough passive income that it covers their business and personal expenses, and the “active” income you work for all is all extra!

A lot of people reach out to me to help them with the “tech” side of the business, though I love to remind them that mindset is the core of entrepreneurial success! I can teach you how to click some computer buttons for a good strategy though if your thoughts inside are not aligned, it won’t yield the result …or worse, you won’t get the fulfillment you were looking for! That’s why I founded the “Financial Freedom and Joy!” an Entrepreneurial Academy, to help you with the mindset and the tech to run your business smoothly online making money more easily for years to come! If you want my eyes on your business, my VIP Business Analysis & Implementation Package is a comprehensive deep dive into your business, offering hands-on guidance to solve quick fixes & implement long-term strategies. Make sure you join my free private Facebook community (Facebook.com/groups/yourffj) for the latest trainings and tips.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

The first important quality is being willing to invest the time, money, and energy into doing “the work.” Attending business workshops, personal growth classes, books, affirmations, coaches, apprenticeships, and more all contributed to my success by learning, implementing, and persevering. I had to get my thoughts and emotions aligned with my goals for a more rewarding result.

The second skill is knowing/understanding the tech side of how online marketing fits with websites and blogs for free leads and passive sales. You don’t need to know it all – however, what you don’t know can cost you greatly in time, money, and frustration.

The third vital asset is having a network. “Your network is your net worth” has been so true for me. I’ve cultivated so many wonderful business colleagues that have led to opportunities and knowledge. Plus I’ve learned to trust that the right people and information come to me at the right time. And it sure does, even this morning! And it’s so much easier now with Zoom and online meetings nowadays than driving around town. I have a worldwide support system for the lows and highs and they are right beside me on the journey and I’m so grateful. 🙂

How can folks who want to work with you connect?

I am always looking to spread the word about “Financial Freedom & Joy!” and how simple and impactful the right tools make you more sales, passive income, and free leads.
