Meet Renarda Fox

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Renarda Fox. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Renarda , we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?

My confidence came from self awareness, once I realized that the person with my best interest is the person in the mirror I began to cherish her, falling madly in love with myself in my late teens.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

BarbieKittie is more than a Brand , BarbieKittie is Freedom , a way of life, that manifested and developed from my heart , transformed into a safe haven for my admiration of self and relativity to the world and all aspects of life , love and creativity

BarbieKittie is my creativity manifested , as I have always had interest in the Entertainment industry as a whole , music , acting , dancing , theater and fashion have been a part of my life in one form or another for as long as I can remember but when I began to per-sue these ventures full throttle in middle school is when I began to see Renarda was not meant to be thrown to the wolves of the industry to be used , but protected and directed by a force unknown at that time to encourage and be a testimony that when YHWH says YES nobody can say NO , later I would find out that force would manifest into BarbieKittie. My Outlet.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?

Three skills that have impacted my journey the most… off the top of my head I would say time management , being able to read the room and financial literacy. Tho time management was the last skill for me to get a handle on I would say I am grateful I’ve grown to respect time and it’s impact because a strong schedule definitely helps with the flow of any situation and encourages strong routines besides what’s a schedule without the concept of time? A hard thing to track i’d say.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?

The most impactful thing my parents have ever done for me is be there authentic selves. My mother and father are both very strong willed groovy , head strong individuals with loads of swag with very different personalities and parenting styles but they both always poured a love into me that made me know the only thing I wouldn’t be able to do in this world is something that I didn’t want to do! Raising my children with that confidence with the understanding of a higher power and the consequences of ones actions is what I aspire to pass down to my future children. I’m proud of my parents and grateful for the love they’ve given me.
