Renata, we’re thrilled to have you on our platform and we think there is so much folks can learn from you and your story. Something that matters deeply to us is living a life and leading a career filled with purpose and so let’s start by chatting about how you found your purpose.

My journey into nutrition and hormone coaching began in an unexpected place—chemical engineering. With a background rooted in science and problem-solving, I never imagined that my true passion would emerge from my own family’s health struggles. When my daughter and husband faced persistent gut health issues, I was desperate for answers. I turned to nutrition and began researching the connection between food and gut healing. Through strategic dietary changes, I witnessed firsthand how powerful nutrition could be in transforming the health of my daughter and my husband. This experience ignited a deep passion within me, leading me to start a food and recipe blog to share what I had learned.

What began as a blog quickly evolved into a full-fledged nutrition coaching practice. As I worked with clients, I noticed a pattern—many women were struggling to lose weight despite following traditional health advice. This realization led me to dive deeper into the world of women’s hormones, where I discovered how imbalances were often the missing piece in their health journeys. By combining nutrition with hormone-focused coaching, I was able to help women achieve true transformation, going beyond just weight loss to overall well-being. Today, my company is dedicated to helping women balance their hormones, optimize fertility, and reclaim their health through a holistic-merged-with-science approach—one that I deeply understand from both personal experience and my background in chemistry and analytical problem-solving.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

What makes my nutrition coaching so unique is the focus on women’s hormone and cyclical health. Women’s hormones fluctuate not only each month, but throughout their reproductive years and into their menopausal years too. However, there is a significant lack of education and medical research funding around women’s hormones. As a result, many women think that they need to suffer through their periods and PMS symptoms. This is simply not the case. PMS is a sign that hormones are not balanced. And there are so many things that we can do as women, to regulate our hormone levels and minimize or completely eliminate PMS or perimenopausal symptoms.

In addition, the menstrual cycle is actually called the 5th vital sign. The reason is because a lot of the symptoms that women experience around their menstrual cycles can actually tell us key information about overall health. I like to think about these symptoms as clues. When you know how to decipher these clues, we can target key hormones to continue to elevate your health and wellness.

There are two key benefits to learning about the menstrual cycle. The first is to understand your own body’s symptoms. As mentioned before, when you know the symptoms or clues that your body is giving you, you can use targeted nutrition and lifestyle practices to bring your hormones back into balance. This will stop or minimize PMS or perimenopausal symptoms and has additional benefits like improving gut health, improving how the body detoxifies itself, improves organ function etc.
The second benefit of learning about the menstrual cycle is understanding your own trends through the menstrual cycle. When you know how your energy levels, mood, sleep, cravings, etc change throughout the whole menstrual cycle, it provides you with a deeper understanding of yourself. This is so important because it shifts the connotation you have with the menstrual cycle. Instead of potentially seeing your cycle as a nuisance or a frustration, you can start having compassion for yourself because you understand the ebbs and flows of your hormone changes, why they occur and what you can do about it.

My signature coaching program, Love Your Cycle, teaches women even more about their menstrual cycles and hormonal health. There have been so many incredible transformations by the women in this program, such as massive reduction or complete elimination of PMS, better understanding of their own individual hormone patterns, and being able to be preemptive with their nutrition and lifestyle practices to prevent hormone imbalances too. There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Following my passion was the first and most crucial step in my journey. I didn’t set out to become a nutrition and hormone coach—I simply followed my curiosity and desire to help my family heal. But as I saw the incredible impact of nutrition on my daughter’s and husband’s health, I knew I couldn’t keep this knowledge to myself. What started as a passion for gut health grew into a deep commitment to helping others, and eventually, I built an entire business around it. Passion alone wasn’t enough, though; I had to trust that my instincts were leading me in the right direction and allow myself to pivot when new opportunities arose.

Building confidence was another key factor. Transitioning from chemical engineering to nutrition coaching wasn’t easy—I had to learn an entirely new field, put myself out there, and trust that I had something valuable to offer. Confidence came from action: working with clients, seeing real results, and continuously expanding my knowledge. I also had to hold the vision of my dream, even when success wasn’t immediate. There were moments of doubt and challenges along the way, but keeping my focus on the bigger picture—helping women transform their health—kept me moving forward.

For those just starting out, my advice is to lean into your passion, even if it doesn’t seem like a clear-cut career path yet. Take small steps every day to build your confidence, whether that’s learning new skills, sharing your knowledge, or working with people who inspire you. Most importantly, hold your vision close, even when the road feels uncertain. Success doesn’t happen overnight, but if you stay committed and trust the process, your passion can turn into something bigger than you ever imagined.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?

My business coach has been instrumental in helping me to expand and grow my business. I have worked with her for several years and she is constantly challenging me to expand my skill base such as social media communication, marketing, positioning of offers, but most importantly, to continue to hold myself to higher standards and living into those standards through my daily actions. I know first hand the importance of having a coach for your evolution. If there is anything that you want to do at a high level, and have the accountability to achieve your goals, I highly recommend having a coach to support, guide and challenge you to exceed even your wildest expectations of yourself.
