Hi Reonna, so happy you were able to devote some time to sharing your thoughts and wisdom with our community. So, we’ve always admired how you have seemingly never let nay-sayers or haters keep you down. Can you talk to us about how to persist despite the negative energy that so often is thrown at folks trying to do something special with their lives?
I’m a super positive person. I don’t really dwell on negativity, and I think that’s partly because of how I was raised. I just try to stay focused on the main thing and ignore distractions. People will always have something to say, so I’ve learned to just block it out. I always keep my why in mind – why I started my business, why I love what I do. I have so much support from my friends and family that I can trust my values and abilities, no matter what others think. I just try to stay focused on what really matters and keep my peace.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Reonna Victoria, a young entrepreneur, former college student at the esteemed Georgia State University, credit expert, and social media influencer, was raised in Atlanta by her single mother, an entrepreneur and credit expert. This upbringing instilled in her a strong sense of entrepreneurship and financial literacy at a young age.
Known as Re, DoltLikeRe, or ReonnaTheCreditQueen on social media platforms, Reonna is the owner of Reonna Victoria Credit Consulting. This unique credit consulting firm is specifically designed to cater to millennials and young adults in their early 20s. While Reonna can assist and advise clients of all ages, her company’s primary focus is on empowering young millennials to start, build, and maintain excellent credit.
Since the launch of her business, Reonna has relocated to Houston, TX as well as expanded her services to include business credit. She provides guidance on building business credit, securing business loans and credit cards, and purchasing homes and cars in the business name. Reonna’s expertise and dedication have made her a sought-after resource for individuals seeking to improve their financial standing and achieve their financial goals.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Entrepreneurship, in general, is a rollercoaster of highs and lows, setbacks, and unexpected challenges. Resilience is the foundation of success for all entrepreneurs, I believe. It enables us to bounce back from failures and keep pushing forward, even when things get tough. Resilience isn’t just about avoiding failure; but it’s about learning from it and maintaining a positive mindset throughout the journey. I believe resiliency is a quality that ensures long-term success by allowing me to stay committed to the vision despite difficulties and challenges.
Consistency is crucial for entrepreneurs, as it directly influences your long-term success. By maintaining consistency, you build trust and credibility. Consistent business practices help you earn trust with your customers and team. When people know they can rely on you to deliver on your promises, it establishes a strong foundation for enduring relationships with clients—a goal I constantly strive for. Trust is essential, especially for customers who have never met you. Consistency also enhances your brand identity on platforms like social media. By consistently being visible and promoting your business, you solidify your brand. A consistent brand identity sets you apart from competitors and enhances your recognition within your industry. Over time, this can lead to remarkable success and help you grow and scale your business. Your reputation is everything.
Promoting and marketing are crucial in entrepreneurship as they help attract attention, build your brand, and boost sales. Regardless of the product or service you are offering, people won’t discover it unless you actively promote it. Promoting and marketing help you reach your target audience and ensure they are aware of your company and the services you offer. The more people hear about your company, the higher the chances of them remembering it and choosing it when they’re ready to make a purchase or sign up for your program. In any industry, competition is inevitable. Promotion provides an opportunity to differentiate yourself by highlighting what makes you unique.

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
Oh, this is easy. My mom, 100%. My entrepreneurial mom has been my biggest inspiration and guide in overcoming challenges and building the qualities and knowledge necessary for my success. All she ever wanted for all of us was for us to be successful; she gave us the blueprint. We just had to listen. Watching her navigate the ups and downs of running a business and then getting to have her right next to me as I navigate all those things as well has taught me resilience, determination, and the importance of staying focused on my goals. She’s shown me how to turn setbacks into opportunities, how to trust my instincts, and how to continuously learn and adapt from everything dealing with business (whether that’s good or bad). Her unwavering support and invaluable advice have equipped me with the mindset I need to tackle any obstacle and continue to pursue my entrepreneurial dreams with confidence.
