We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Retakephoto Llc. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Retakephoto below.
Retakephoto, so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
Honestly, I wouldn’t say I’ve fully developed confidence or self-esteem — I still feel like I don’t have much of either. But people who’ve known me for years tell me I’ve gained a lot, which is interesting to hear. I still get nervous before every phone call, and I still shake before walking into a meeting.
That said, I’ve definitely improved over time, and I think it comes down to experience. I’ve put myself in situations where I had no choice but to speak up, so I just say what I know and hope for the best.
One thing I’ve learned from doing this is that if you really know your craft, the client already wants to hear what you have to say. They’re already interested in your work — all you need to do is talk about what you love and why you’re excited to work with them. When you focus on that, the rest tends to fall into place.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Right now, RetakePhoto focuses primarily on real estate photography and video, but we’re in the process of launching a new brand called BeLuxuryMedia. This new brand will cover everything beyond real estate — including food photography, hospitality, new construction, products, and more.
As we’ve grown and built a strong network of talented creatives, our capabilities have expanded well beyond what we started with, and this new brand will help us showcase all of those services under one roof.
We’re still finalizing the branding and website for BeLuxuryMedia, but we’re excited to share it soon. It’s a big step for us, and we’re looking forward to connecting with new industries and clients as we continue to grow.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
It’s hard to narrow it down to just three, but looking back at the growth we’ve experienced over the past year, I’d say the most impactful qualities have been tenacity, sacrifice, and time.
I’m always thinking about the client, the brand, and the future — and I never really take a day off. Every decision I make is about moving the business forward, and I personally reinvest everything back into the company to keep that momentum going.
I have long-term goals — 2-year, 5-year, and 10-year plans — but I also work with short-term plans, like a 3-month roadmap that keeps me focused and adaptable.
For anyone early in their journey, my advice would be to stay consistent, stay positive, and be someone people enjoy working with. A positive attitude and real passion for what you do is something people are naturally drawn to, and it makes building relationships and finding success a whole lot easier.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I’m always open to collaborating with people, and I actually take on “free” projects pretty often — but the key is to set your own terms. Free work should never come from a place of desperation, and it’s important not to remind the client that you’re doing them a favor. Instead, I approach it like helping a friend — and if they start asking for too much, I’m comfortable saying no.
For me, it’s all about whether the project is enjoyable and if it offers something valuable for my portfolio or brand down the line. There have been plenty of times where a client couldn’t meet my rate, but if the project itself is interesting and could turn into a strong content piece, I’ll take it on for free.
My biggest advice here: never lower your rate to meet someone’s budget. That only devalues your work and your brand. Either charge full price — because that’s what you’re worth — or do it for free, on your terms. Full price keeps your value intact, free makes the client grateful, but discounts leave you with the short end of the deal.
If anyone reading this is interested in collaborating, the best way to reach me is by email at [email protected] or by phone at 561-805-1001. I’m always open to creative ideas and interesting projects.
