We were lucky to catch up with Revna Dorian recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Revna, thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.
I think imposter syndrome comes from the fact that we sometimes forget that what we do is not about perfection, but about truth. Our truth. The only truth that matters. Imposter syndrome is like a voice in your head asking you: Who do you think you are? To that voice, dare to answer: I am nobody greater than myself but I do take the space I need in order to grow into a better version than myself. At some point we all hear this voice but instead of treating it like an enemy, embrace it for it comes to remind you of the reason behind your actions, behind your words, behind your thoughts. At the end of the day, ask yourself if that voice is really yours or if it stuck with you because you heard the same phrase coming out of people’s mouths. Once you answer this, ask the most important question.. Why are you allowing other people to have such power on you? Who do you think you are? Someone weak?..

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
My story begins as a student who never gets tired of learning and exploring. I am still that student to this very day, just with more experience and more opportunities to prove my skills and knowledge. Let us focus on the future and the vision I am trying to build currently which is no other but to have my very own shop in Ireland. The name is Elysium and it means sanctuary, a safe space. It will be for the people who are seeking a home in a more spiritual way than practical. A home they have never lived in and yet they know its out there somewhere. A place for people who are looking for connection, reflection and community. A cozy place to enjoy hot coffee, tea and chocolate in the mornings and drinks of any kind in the evenings. Elysium will be a safe place for everyone. It will welcome people from different backgrounds to share their perspectives and stories and wisdom with others with respect and understanding every once a week. Every single day, during their coffee, my services will be available for anyone who is interested so you can have your tarot readings and enjoy your coffee at the same time. My purpose is simple: to unite people, showing that all paths share one common thread, love. By focusing on that, there is no room for division, only understanding and connection. It is my inner calling to build it and failing is not an option.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The three most impactful qualities in my journey have been intuition, resilience, and my deep need to learn as much as possible. Call it curiosity. We all have intuition, some of us use it as a guide, a map, while others do not trust it as much as they should. Intuition is the inner voice whispering advices about where we should be moving towards.. like a GPS! Even when logic or lack of evidence made me question my inner voice, I followed it regardless and it was never wrong at the end of the day. As for the resilience, I did not always have it. I built it brick by brick because I had no other option. I had to find a way to break through the voices of the outsiders, the negativity they were so easily dropping on me. They do not know about the endless nights of researching, reading and improving my skills, my tools. The tears I have held with my clients. The moment where their pain becomes yours in a soul level way.
My advice for those who just starting getting into Spirituality in any form, is to keep these things in mind:
Practice listening to your inner voice daily, even in small decisions because the more you use it, the sharper and more on point it becomes. Unfortunately, you should expect others to criticise you. It is their right to have their opinion but it is your responsibility to keep following your own path in life, your purpose. It is a never ending school, so please do not even stop studying more, exploring more. It will help you understand yourself better, your craft and people. Remember, knowledge must be combined with mistakes in order to become wisdom.

All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?
What hurts most is the quickness to label. When people call me ‘evil’ for reading tarot, they’re reacting to fear and misunderstanding. I do not blame them, but it doesn’t mean it’s okay. Tarot is a symbolic language, a tool, a mirror that reflects possibilities, patterns, and choices. The outcomes that i have access to by using my cards are only based on my client’s actions, thoughts and energies. I do not summon demons or force destinies or Karma upon people. I hold space, ask questions, and help people access their own intuition so they can make clearer decisions. My practice is rooted in ethics, love, protection, and compassion. If anyone insists on calling that ‘evil,’ then I’ll keep doing the work.. because healing and truth don’t bend to prejudice.
