Reyna, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?

I acquired the residence from my paternal grandmother. She taught me that for every bad situation in life, there is always a reason and a thousand opportunities to learn and become better.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?

I have 15 years of experience in the beauty industry, a profession that I am passionate about because I can transform people’s images with a hair color or a simple well-styled haircut. This passion is something I love to share with my students every day, showing them that the beauty industry is not just about cutting hair; it goes beyond that. With this profession, you can change lives and achieve all your objectives while also serving others by providing free services to those in need.

That is why opening a school was my dream come true, with the support of my partner and my family. This project is designed for all those people who want to move forward or want to fulfill a dream that has not come true due to various life circumstances. We design accessible programs to adapt to their needs and encourage them to adapt. As long as they meet the required training to develop their abilities in the beauty industry.

I was inspired to open a school because I wanted to create a space where individuals could realize their dreams in the beauty industry, regardless of their circumstances. I believe in the transformative power of beauty and wanted to share my knowledge and passion with others. Additionally, my experiences working in the field made me realize there is a need for accessible education that empowers people to improve their lives and careers.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

In my journey, I’d say what helped me most was my discipline, persistence, and confidence.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?

My older son has been the key to all my achievements, both personally and professionally; he has been my motivation and the one who always pushes me to be better every day.”

He motivates me by encouraging me to pursue my goals and reminding me of the importance of resilience. His belief in my abilities often pushes me to step out of my comfort zone and strive for better.
