We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Rhonda Leggins a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Rhonda, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

I found my purpose, too experience, healing, and the desire to help others. My journey was not always easy, but it shaped me into the woman I am today. The owner of Hairjoy of Orlando taught me that Beauty is more than appearance. It!s confidence self love and strength After the witnessing how breast cancer affected not just the body but the spirit I realize my calling was deeper to lift up others, educate, and empower women through their healing journey. That’s why I created a space where compassion me create connectivity. My vegan hair care line so that women that have had breast cancer. Do not have to use products that has a lot of fillers. That’s not pure. My purpose is to help women feel beautiful from the inside and out no matter what they’ve been through.

I found my purpose through my journey, which has not always been easy but has shaped me into the woman I am today. A woman that is driven by the desire to use my experience to help heal and help others. Being the owner of Hairjoy of Orlando has taught me that beauty is more than appearance. It’s confidence, self love and strength. After the witnessing how breast cancer affects not just the body but the spirit, I recognized my calling was even deeper. My calling was to lift up others, educate, and empower women through their healing journey. That’s why I created a space where my compassion met and created connectivity through a vegan hair care line. My vegan hair care products ate designed so that women that have had breast cancer do not have to use products that have a lot of fillers and can use a product thats pure. My purpose is to help women feel beautiful from the inside and out no matter what they’ve been through or are going through.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

My name is Rhonda Leggins. My work is rooted in beauty, healing, and empowerment. I created a vegan hair care, product design, especially for women who want to take care of themselves naturally, including breast cancer survivors, who are rebuilding confidence from the inside and out.
What I feel excited about is thier transformation not just in thier hair but in spirit with thier use of every product. Through every story I share in my salon, I remind women of their strength, beauty, and power to begin again — to create the most beautiful chapter of their lives yet.
My brand stands for compassion, confidence, and clean beauty. It’s more than a business — it’s a movement to help women embrace themselves fully, mind, body, and soul. Every product is created with the belief that every woman deserves care that is gentle, honest, and empowering.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

Resilient and adaptability my journey has taught me a setback isn’t the end .their lessons whether it was learning the business side of Beauty or rebuilding after the personal challenges I learn to stay flexible and keep moving forward
Advice don’t be afraid to start small or start over every step teaches me something new growth happens when you stay open and willing to adapt
The advice that I have is protect your vision, don’t rush it and let others define it for you. Creativity grow confidence so believe in your idea and follow your intuition.3444

Throughout my journey, I’ve been blessed with people who have helped me overcome challenges and develop my skills, qualities, and knowledge. My mentors in the beauty and wellness industry have guided me with wisdom and encouragement, teaching me the value of quality, creativity, and perseverance.
My family and friends have been my foundation — their love and belief in me have kept me strong through life’s difficult moments. Working alongside talented stylists and entrepreneurs has also shaped my professional growth and taught me the importance of collaboration and consistency.
Most importantly, my faith and determination have carried me through every season, reminding me that true growth requires courage, patience, and purpose.
