Meet Rhonda Morris

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Rhonda Morris a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Rhonda, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?

My journey toward purpose began years ago when I stepped into an unexpected role as PTA President at my son’s elementary school. At the time, I was navigating a challenging season in my life, unsure of my next steps or where I truly fit.

One afternoon, while picking up my son from school, I overheard a conversation about the PTA. Someone mentioned the need for a new president, and before I could second-guess myself, I volunteered. That single “yes” changed everything.

Serving as PTA President for four years became one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. I discovered how much I loved creating programs that helped children uncover their gifts, explore their creativity, and build confidence. It was in that space of service that I found my true passion empowering children and families to grow, thrive, and connect.

I believe every child has potential waiting to be nurtured. They don’t choose the circumstances they’re born into, which is why it takes a supportive community to help them flourish. That belief inspired me to expand my reach, developing community events and initiatives that strengthen families and inspire hope.

Through every step of this journey, I’ve learned that purpose often finds us when we simply say “yes” to serving others.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

I create spaces where children and families can grow, discover their gifts, and connect with one another.

What excites me most about this work is watching children light up when they realize their potential that moment when confidence replaces uncertainty.

My brand is built on the belief that every child has something special inside of them, waiting to be nurtured. Through community events, creative programs, and faith-centered inspiration, I help families strengthen their bond and find purpose together.

For me, this isn’t just work it’s ministry. It’s purpose. It’s the sound of community coming alive.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?

#1-Courage to Say YES
One of the most impactful moments in my journey was simply saying yes when the opportunity presented itself like volunteering to be PTA President. It taught me that growth often comes from stepping into the unknown.

#2- Passion for Serving Others
Discovering that my purpose is helping children and families thrive gave me direction. Passion makes your work meaningful and sustainable

#3-Community Engagement & Collaboration
Learning to build programs and events for families taught me the importance of working with others. Impact is greater when you involve the community.

Overall Advice for Those Early in Their Journey:
Be willing to step into opportunities, follow what lights you up, and connect with the people around you. These three elements courage, passion, and collaboration are the foundation for creating meaningful impact.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?

Pause & Breathe – Reset your mind before moving forward.

Focus on What Matters – Prioritize one task at a time.

Reconnect with Your Purpose – Remember why you started; it fuels your energy.

Tip: Break things into steps, ask for help when needed, and keep your purpose front and center. Overwhelm doesn’t last when you act with clarity and intention.

At this event, each young adult received a personalized backpack with their name and essential dental supplies.
