We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Rhonda Steinke a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Rhonda , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
The first place my resilience comes from is being attached to a “why”. A purpose to get back up after a fall and to try again. Every category of my life has a purpose so when struggle shows up in that area I’m able to attach to the why as a helping hand out of the mud.
Beyond being attached to my why, I attribute resilience to good health practices and my meditation practice. I’m finding with the consistent practice of Pranic Healing and Arhatic Yoga it is typically becoming easier to pick back up after the struggle.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I practice Naturopathic Medicine with a speciality in Pranic Healing. Pranic Healing is a systematized non-touch healing modality that uses Prana to accelerate healing. Lately, I’ve been enjoying using Pranic Healing to help elders with memory care. I’ve seen little bits of Pranic Healing help in big ways like stabilized moods, decreased anxiety and worry, increase in medication compliance, and overall peace.
Pranic Healing is not only a healing modality it is a way of life. Pranic Healing can be infused into all aspects of life. I’ve recently expanded beyond health sharing how Pranic Healing can be used to improve relationships and healthcare work environments.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Failure. In 2015 I was a practicing Naturopathic Doctor, supposed to be the product of health and along came a health crisis; a hemorrhaging bleed in my brain called a Cavernous Malformation. This was originally viewed as failure yet taught me compassion, patience, and humility. It was a tremendous blessing. I’ve learned health is dynamic and different for all. I now look to find the individualized health clients need to achieve their why vs. the health ideals that are standard.
Adaptability. Life is ever evolving, the easier we pivot to change the more likely there is for survival and success.
Hope. Hope is seen as weak to some, to me it is a powerful medicine. It is a spark that keeps the flame of desire alive. When I’m hopeful, a client’s unusual or terminal health concern seems more of an opportunity than a disparity. I’m able to get creative with therapeutics or research better to find a solution even if equates to temporary improvement in quality if life.
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I love collaborating with people who think big and want to make an impact. Those that are not afraid to look outside of the box simply to create positive change. Infusing prana into healthcare, businesses, careers, finances and families brings another dimension to creating change. When prana is demystified and explained it no longer is seen as magical or weird. It is simply a way to make things better.
