Ricco, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
My resilience comes from a deep passion for what I do and a firm belief in my vision. Over the years, I’ve faced numerous challenges, from financial constraints to adapting to new environments. Each obstacle has only strengthened my resolve. I draw inspiration from my personal experiences and the support of those who believe in my work. My resilience is fueled by the satisfaction of overcoming difficulties and the drive to continue pursuing my dreams despite setbacks. My unwavering dedication and encouragement from my peers and clients keep me moving forward.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am excited to share the latest updates on my journey and RSoares Films.
Over the past seven months, we have had the opportunity to undertake five international trips to work with brands and artists in various locations, including Brazil, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Panama. Each of these trips has brought new experiences and challenges, reflecting the growing recognition of our work on a global scale.
Recently, we had the honor of creating content for major events such as Coachella and Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) in Las Vegas. These collaborations have been significant milestones for our team and highlight our commitment to excellence in every project. Additionally, we have some exciting projects with local brands in the pipeline that promise to be truly special.
I am also thrilled to announce the upcoming release of my new eBook, scheduled for the end of 2024. This book is aimed at new adventurers in the audiovisual industry and is designed to offer valuable guidance for those starting in the field.
Moreover, I have been sharing new motivational content on my social media channels, to inspire my followers to believe in their dreams and seek out new opportunities. Seeing how these messages have resonated and helped others on their journeys has been gratifying.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Creativity: In the world of audiovisual production, creativity is crucial. It allows me to craft compelling narratives and bring fresh, innovative ideas to every project. This quality helps me to stand out in a competitive industry and continually push the boundaries of visual storytelling.
Technical Expertise: Mastery of various technical skills and tools is essential for producing high-quality work. My extensive knowledge of editing software, camera equipment, and production techniques ensures that I can deliver professional results that meet the highest industry standards.
Adaptability: Adapting to changing circumstances and client needs is vital. Whether adjusting to new trends, working with diverse teams, or handling unexpected challenges, my adaptability enables me to stay relevant and effective in a dynamic field.
Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
Mentors and Industry Leaders: Early in my career, I was fortunate to have mentors who provided invaluable guidance and insight into the audiovisual industry. Their experience and advice helped me navigate initial challenges and develop a solid foundation of skills.
Collaborative Teams: Working closely with talented professionals has been instrumental in my growth. My collaborators’ diverse perspectives and expertise have enriched my understanding of various aspects of production and encouraged continuous learning.
Family and Friends: The unwavering support of my family and friends has been a constant source of motivation. Their encouragement and belief in my vision have provided the emotional resilience needed to persevere through difficult times.
