Meet Richard Chungong

We were lucky to catch up with Richard Chungong recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Richard with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
I get my work ethic from my Mother. She is a wound care specialist. Everything she has earned are from her efforts to work on herself and continue to her better. Seeing how she put in the work everyday to provide the opportunities for me and my family is what motivated me to do the things I am doing today.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
My name is Richard Chungong and I am founder and owner of Dash In Between which is a Web3 Advising Agency that advises and consults individuals and businesses looking to learn more or integrate the uses of cryptocurrency, non fungible tokens or blockchain technology into their business. The most exciting part about this business is that most of the world has yet to grasp what’s some of this technology will do for a lot of issues we have today. What I like people to know about my brand is that your creativity can not be replicated by technology but it can be greatly enhanced when used correctly.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I have always been competitive which I feel is a great skill to have in every field because competition forces you to constantly evolve which is key to surviving in life. Another skill I would say is empathy or putting myself in other peoples shoes. This was very important with many people not understanding the technology I work with breaking it down with understandable analogies with things they use today. Last I would say would be confidence being in a space like Web3 I had to take he time and focus to get the necessary information to build my confidence in the face of adversity which is common in the emerging technology space. If I was to give advise to people early in their journey to improve on these skills is find something you are good at but can improve on and you will become competitive to get better. For empathy in certain situations try and ask how you would feel if you were in the other person point of view this helps a lot in times of misunderstanding. Confidence can be improved with dedication and continued improvement over time. Doing something without seeking the end reward but for the improvements along the way will bring confidence in seeing what you have become along the way.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
The book that played an important role in my development was Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. The book is great on giving you a outlook on what you truly want in life. A few quotes form the book that resonated were

“Man’s only limitation, within reason, lies in his development and use of his imagination.”

“Success and failure are largely the results of habit.”

“Dreams are the seeds of reality.”
