Meet Richard Good

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Richard Good. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Richard below.

Hi Richard, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I would say my work ethic came from watching my mother and my grandmother at an early age. My mother worked multiple jobs, and excelled in school when i was young. When i was attending college i had those same responsibilities and i was able to handle such a load.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Right now I’m focusing on building my brand and forming partnerships with companies that compliment my business model. The excitement that comes from what I do, is being independent. Everyday is different! You have to be self motivated to get up and be the best you can be for your brand. In the present future, I’m working on launching a new mobile app that will be coming in the winter of 2023.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Adaptability is a skill that you must have as an entrepreneur. At any moment things can change in your industry, and you have to be prepared to change your business model.

My confidence gives me strength to keep fighting knowing that every business had humble beginnings before they found major success. The world around you will make you feel that everyone has success overnight but that rarely happens. Success usually comes from failing, and learning from your failures over time.

Perseverance is key, you have to keep going because you never know when your time will come. Business may be slow at first, and if you lack faith, and get discouraged you may want to give up. Don’t! “There is beauty in the Struggle.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
A book that was helpful for me on my journey was the “Alchemist”. This book has so many gems! The book reminds you to chase your dreams. “You must understand that love never keeps a man from pursuing his Personal Legend. If he abandons that pursuit, it’s because it wasn’t true love”. There was a part in the book where the main character doesn’t want to leave a girl he just met, because he feels he is in love with her. However the girl encourages him to pursue his dreams, and lets him know that she would wait for him. This is a good example of what love really is. Being on your life’s purpose can be time consuming, and you have to sacrifice a lot. But when you find a person who loves you, they will support you along your journey and won’t try and stop you….
